On this day, we celebrate the ones around us who are overcoming mental illness and are finding recovery. So, please join in with other Tennesseans in celebrating HOPE as a sign of STRENGTH. Day of Hope March 10, 2024 is being celebrated as Tennessee’s Day of Hope. For so many people, the hope of a better tomorrow is a source of strength and motivation to continue the work to overcome the hurdles in their lives or support the needs of a loved one, friend, or neighbor.

I wanted to share some of the photos that were taken yesterday at Integrity House event feeding and providing love to our unhoused neighbors under the bridge in Knoxville, TN. Through donations provided by our residents and individuals in the community who wanted to do their part, we were able to feed a complete meal to the men and women of our community. We provided a meal of BBQ Pork, BBQ Beef, Buns, Sides, Drinks. A snack bag was made up for each that included numerous items for them to be able to have throughout the evening and night. We also passed out clothing, shoes, blankets, jackets, coats, toboggans, gloves, and other various items to add at least a little comfort during the cold season We are in We distributed hygiene bags that included essentials that they would need to both men and women. Overall, it was a great success and we were able to make a positive impact on the lives of these individuals. We showed them that there are people who care about their well-being and that they are not forgotten. I want to thank everyone who participated and helped make this event possible. Let's continue to do our part in making a difference in the lives of those in need.

We are so proud of our residents from Integrity House who showed their kindness and generosity during the recent snowstorm in east Tennessee. They saw that the seniors at Oakwood Living were isolated because of the snow-covered parking lot and decided to help out by shoveling the snow and making the lot accessible again. They also helped a family who was stuck in their house by clearing their driveway. This is what community is all about: helping each other in times of need. Integrity House is always ready to lend a hand to our neighbors, just as they have supported us in our mission. Thank you, Integrity House residents, for being such wonderful examples of compassion and service!

On Saturday, December 23rd, 2023, we at Integrity House of Knoxville Tennessee had the wonderful privilege of serving our community by going to Karm under the bridge and providing food and warm clothing to some of the city of Knoxville's current unhoused residents. We are grateful for the opportunity to share some love and compassion with our neighbors in need, especially during this cold and challenging season. We at Integrity also want to thank Karm and other organizations like The Gateway (MDC) for their amazing work that they achieve each day of the year. Here are some pictures of our wonderful men and some of the people we met. These photos have been edited to protect the identity of the individuals assisting and the assisted as well. We hope this may inspire someone reading this post to join us in making a difference in our city.
