Private Yoga Lessons with Christina
Namaste. I specialize in Teaching Private Yoga Lessons tailored to each Individual Student. With my training in Viniyoga, I use postures, breath adaptation and breath practices, bandhas, yoga philosophy, mantra and meditation To Create a Class Just FOR YOU. Each private lesson includes a stick figure drawing of Your Own Personal Home Practice, which can be adjusted and adapted as You Adjust and Adapt through Day to Day Life.
Viniyoga, also called Vinyasa Krama Yoga, is a comprehensive and authentic transmission of the teachings of yoga, developed by Tirumalai Krishnamacharya and taught by his son T. K. V. Desikachar. Viniyoga includes āsana (postures), prāṇāyāma (breathing), bandha, sound, chanting, meditation, personal ritual and study of texts. Viniyoga (prefixes vi and ni plus yoga) is an ancient Sanskrit term that implies differentiation, adaptation, and appropriate application.
I have studied with and continue to learn from Gary Kraftsow, Mirka Kraftsow, Leslie Kaminoff and many other student’s of Desikachar. As well as many Amazing and Gifted Yoga Teachers from other lineages. I have been studying and practicing Yoga for 26 years and have been teaching Yoga for 15 years.
The American Viniyoga Institute™ uses the term Viniyoga to refer to an approach to yoga that adapts the various means and methods of practice to the unique condition, needs and interests of each individual – giving each practitioner the tools to individualize and actualize the process of self-discovery and personal transformation.
