Stress of all kinds can cause our bodies to shift, twist and compress. You can sum it up as bad posture, but that doesnât quite tell the whole story.
You may see shifts in someoneâs structure and think, âThat canât be comfortable.â Left long enough, it often isnât.
But there are other dots to connect here, such as what compression means for the INSIDE of our bodies. How does it affect blood, oxygen and nerve flow? All critical to the very functions that keep us healthy and thriving!
Letâs connect another dot. Gravity. Itâs a force pushing down on us at all times. If youâre UP, OPEN and BALANCED, you will not notice it, but if youâre misaligned, youâre bound to feel its impact eventually, in the way of pain.
We know itâs a powerful force because if you experience a physical stress that twists your pelvis, for example, and you do nothing to help the body regain balance, GRAVITY will make it worse with every step, jump, skip, run you take with that shifted pelvis. Your body will compensate and compensate and compensate until youâre wearing and tearing on not just a pelvis, but an ankle or a foot or a shoulder.
