Run Childhood Cancer out of Town 5k

The past two years of dealing with Covid have been very challenging to many small companies and foundations, and we, Road Kill Timing and Brighter Days Childhood Cancer Org. are no exceptions. We can't thank all of you enough for supporting this race for the past few years. With your help, we were able to donate nearly $100K to Childhood Cancer Therapy Development Institute (cc-TDI a 501c3) for research and clinical trials. Although BDCC Org. will be dissolved at the end of this month, we are all still committed to helping this cause. Also, we will be closing this FB page sometime in the next few weeks so if there are any photos of you that you would like to grab, please feel free to do so.💛

No, there was no race this year due to COVID, but that didn’t stop Damon Miner and Jared’s Team from holding their own fundraiser to support Brighter Days Childhood Cancer! This group of young men have supported us every year for the past 6 years and this year was no exception. We just received a donation of roughy $4,500 from them for BDCC Org. to help fight childhood cancer. Thank you Damon and thank youTeam Jared! We are looking forward to seeing all of you next year at RCCOT5k!

Had it not been for COVID-19, today would have marked our 7th annual RCCOT 5K. Although this is the biggest annual fundraiser benefiting Brighter Days Childhood Cancer Org., we had to make the decision several months ago, to cancel or not. Based on the information that we had at the time, Road Kill Timing decided that, over the abundance of caution, it would be wise to cancel this year’s race. That being said, thank you again to all who donated to our online fundraiser during month of September to recognize Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We are looking forward to RCCOT 5K in 2021 and hope that you will join us. 🎗

Although today marks the official end of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, please remember all of the children and their families whose fight will never end until there is a cure. Thank you to all who, throughout the month of September, helped to bring awareness to childhood cancers and the struggles these families face on a daily basis. Not only is this fight physically, emotionally and financially exhausting, it is also a major eye opener as to the lack of funding for our kids. And to those of you who think this could never happen to you, I pray for your sake and the sake of your kids and grand kids, that it never does, and if it does, I pray that before it happens, there is a cure. Please continue to help us spread awareness throughout the year. Our kids are depending on us! Let's make the GOLD RIBBON 🎗as recognizable as the PINK RIBBON!

If you are in a position to help, please know that your donation, no matter the amount, will help us “run childhood cancer out of town”. There are no fees and 100% of your donation goes to Brighter Days Childhood Cancer Org. toward research. Together we can make a difference 🎗
