Accountability is what turns expectations into results.

It is easy to talk about standards. It is harder to own them.

In Functional Fundamental #6, Debbie Kelly focuses on what it means to take responsibility in a real, everyday way. Owning your actions. Following through. Stepping up when something needs to be addressed.

This is how trust is built. This is how teams get stronger. And this is how we continue to deliver consistent, high-quality care.

Today, we celebrate the women who make life brighter, stronger, softer, and more meaningful.

To every mom, grandmother, caregiver, mentor, and mother figure, thank you for the love, wisdom, resilience, and compassion you pour into others every single day.

From the communities we serve to the incredible women on our own team, your impact reaches farther than you know.

Happy Mother’s Day from your friends at Functional Pathways. 💐

The best outcomes are built behind the scenes.

They happen in the way teams communicate, step in, and support each other when it matters most.

In Functional Fundamental #5, Brandon Knorr talks about the impact of showing up for your coworkers. Not just when it is easy, but when it is needed. Because the way we support each other directly shapes the experience we deliver to our patients and partners.

Strong teams are intentional. They choose collaboration. They choose accountability to each other.

There was no shortage of creativity, movement, or laughter during Derby Day in Asheville! 🏇🌹

Residents spent the day designing festive hats, sharing stories, and participating in a Timed Up and Go “race” that brought a little friendly competition to therapy.

Moments like these remind us that progress does not always happen in a gym or treatment room. Sometimes it happens over shared laughter, a little creativity, and the confidence to take that next step.

Special thanks to Genevieve Yedlicka and the rehab team for making the day one to remember.

New accessibility requirements are changing how healthcare organizations approach their digital platforms.

The updated HHS Section 504 Final Rule requires providers that receive federal funding to ensure their websites, mobile applications, and patient facing tools meet WCAG accessibility standards.

These changes expand accessibility beyond physical spaces and into every digital interaction, from communication tools to online resources.

We put together a clear overview of what this means and how organizations can start preparing now.

Change is not the disruption. It is the work.

Healthcare is evolving fast. Expectations are higher. Patient needs are more complex. The teams that succeed are the ones willing to adapt in real time.

In Functional Fundamental #4, Lori Runyan shares what it really looks like to embrace change inside our organization. It is not about reacting. It is about staying open, staying accountable, and continuing to move forward even when the path shifts.

When we embrace change, we create space for better outcomes, stronger teams, and smarter ways of working.
