Getting better doesn’t always mean making big changes. Sometimes, it’s the small adjustments that make the biggest difference.

Functional Fundamental #20, Be Relentless About Improvement, is all about staying open, learning as you go, and finding ways to improve each day. In therapy, those little changes can have a big impact on outcomes and the patient experience.

We’re proud of the teams who show up every day committed to doing just a little better than the day before.

We are in New York City this week celebrating a very special moment for our organization.

Congratulations to Dan Knorr on being honored at the McKnight’s 2026 Pinnacle Awards as a Marketplace Influencer!

With more than 30 years of leadership in senior living, Dan has consistently demonstrated vision, integrity, and a commitment to elevating care across the industry. This recognition is a reflection of the impact he has made not only within Functional Pathways, but across the broader healthcare community.

Brad Carter, Chris Sneed, Patric Wiesmann, Traci McCullough and Angel Knorr were there to support and celebrate Dan on this well-deserved recognition.

We are proud to celebrate this moment and grateful for the leadership that continues to inspire our team every day!

Sun Health recently hosted Brio, Breakthroughs & Bites at Grandview Terrace HRC, bringing together residents and local vendors for a hands-on look at the future of therapy.

The therapy team set up four interactive stations, giving attendees the chance to experience innovative approaches to care, recovery, and outcomes in a real, tangible way.

Javier Perales, MS, CCC-SLP, Area Director of Operations, along with Courtney Mancuso, DPT, Connor Hempel, DOR, and Matthew Jaspers, DPT, were there connecting with attendees, sharing insights, and showcasing what’s possible when teams are focused on doing things better.

Events like this reflect the ongoing partnership between Functional Pathways and Sun Health and a shared commitment to elevating therapy services across the Valley of the Sun!

The team at Otterbein Tipp City got in the spirit yesterday for St. Patrick’s Day!

A little green, a lot of smiles, and plenty of fun shared across the team and with residents. Moments like these bring energy into the day and make the work we do even more meaningful.

Lucky to be part of a team that shows up for each other and the people we serve.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day from Functional Pathways!

Our Pot of Gold is not something we search for. It is something we see every day.

It is the patient wins, the encouragement shared between teammates, and the small moments that make a big difference.

These are the stories that remind us why we do this work.

Today, we are celebrating the gold that already exists across our teams!

Great healthcare organizations do more than deliver care. They use resources with purpose.

Functional Fundamental #19, Use Resources Wisely, reflects the importance of thoughtful decisions, efficient processes, and respect for the people, time, and tools that support quality patient care.

At Functional Pathways, this fundamental helps our teams stay focused on what matters most: strong therapy outcomes and better patient experiences.

Thank you to our clinical teams who bring this mindset to their work every day.

March 8 to 14 is Long Term Care Administrator’s Week.

Administrators carry one of the most important leadership roles in senior living. They set the vision, build strong teams, and create the culture that supports residents, families, and staff every day.

The strongest communities are led by administrators who prioritize accountability, collaboration, and quality outcomes.

At Functional Pathways, we are proud to work alongside administrators who lead with clarity and purpose and who are committed to helping their communities thrive.

To the administrators across our partner communities and throughout the industry, thank you for the leadership you bring to your teams and the residents you serve every day.

This week, Functional Pathways is co-sponsoring Hill Day at the ADVION conference in Washington, DC.

ADVION is the leading association representing providers of ancillary care, services, and products that support the long term and post acute care sector.

On March 11, our colleagues Gina Elkins, Michael Wayman, and Rachel Colsch will be on Capitol Hill meeting with Members of Congress and their staff to discuss several key policy issues impacting our industry. These conversations will focus on reform of the physician fee schedule, the need for permanent telehealth authority, the disadvantages of Medicare Advantage, and advancing health information technology in long term and post acute care through federal grant programs.

These issues have real implications for providers, clinicians, and the older adults we serve. We are proud to have our team representing Functional Pathways and advocating for the policies our sector needs to move forward.
