Wow- this took me a while to post! We actually left BOOM Festival last Wednesday night and I did try to post this on bus the way back, but it didn’t go through and have been out of range for the last week. (2nd post coming soon!) Now it all seems like a dream! What a beautiful dream it was!! With an injured knee, I had to take it super slow, but loved that experience of pacing myself, keeping it simple, and making the experience as nurturing as possible. I’m sure I missed a lot, but still had a very full experience of meeting people from around the world, listening, dancing (very carefully!), and hooping to some of my favorite musical artists, being immersed in nature and art, eating so much good food, exploring, playing, observing, learning, and relaxing! It was extra special to share the experience with for a truly epic shared celebration of her college graduation and my 50th Birthday! 🥳🕺I’m forever grateful for the opportunity and for for holding down the fort so I could be gone for 23 days!!! 💘

Couldn’t be more proud of Rosey for being so amazing, kind, hard working, creative, brilliant, and beautiful and for her Graduation from NYU’s prestigious Tisch School of the Arts - Clive Davis Institute with a degree in Recorded Music!! Way to go, Rosey!!! The 2 graduation ceremonies were long, but very inspiring - with Molly Shannon from SNL speaking at the All NYU graduation at Yankees Stadium and Maggie Rogers speaking at the Tisch ceremony at Radio City Music Hall, along with so many absolutely incredible music and dance performances! We also got to meet several of her favorite mentors at NYU including Errol Kolosine, the advisor who supervised her independent study project of setting up her tour this summer and who is also the Chemical Brothers manager!!! He was such a sweet, cool guy and he gave us 3 Chemical Brothers vinyls when we told him what huge fans we are! 😊

I love how these photos turned out of the piece I created with Ixeeya for the Mariposa Collective performance “Momentum” this weekend at the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder, CO! The performance was inspired by the Celtic Holiday Imbolc which falls on February 1, the midway point between the Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. We were fortunate to have original music composed and performed live by James Hoskins, with Jesse Manno, Tober Schorr and Victor Mestas joining him.
