Here are some practical tips to help encourage language development in your everyday interactions with your child: 💬💬

🔹 Model: Demonstrate what the child would say from their perspective. (Tip: Don't say "say...", just model it!)

🔹 Wait: Give your child time to respond during conversations. Pausing after you speak allows them to process and think about their response.

🔹 Respond: Acknowledge when your child says something and engage with them to encourage communication.

🔹 Expand: When your child says something, expand on it by adding a few more words. If they say "car," you can say "red car" or "big car."

🔹 Reduce Questions: Instead of bombarding your child with questions, try to comment on what they’re doing or seeing. This helps to encourage more natural communication and reduce pressure.

🔹 Verbal Routines: Establish routines for common activities with repetitive phrases and actions. Consistent routines help children anticipate and participate in conversations.

Have you had success with these methods? I'd love to hear about your experience in the comments! ⬇⬇
