WINTER WEATHER UPDATE:

All Prisma Health facilities in East Tennessee will resume normal business hours and operations on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

Baby New Year 2026 is here!

The first baby born at Prisma Health Blount Memorial Hospital in 2026 arrived at 5:39 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 1 to Meagan and Collin Carter of Maryville.

The baby weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces. The family has chosen to keep the baby's name and gender a surprise until they can introduce their new bundle of joy to the rest of their family.

Just a reminder that we're here if you need us this week.

Our CareToday Clinic, located at 266 Joule Street in Alcoa, is open on New Year's Eve from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on New Year's Day.

And our emergency department is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
