The Volunteer Mentorship Initiative, brought into Tennessee prisons in partnership with the TN Governor's Faith-Based and Community Initiative, is connecting community members with inmates preparing to return home.

Mentors lend their time to coach, listen, and walk alongside inmates during their final years of incarceration, staying in contact after release to provide support as individuals return home. For many, the world they’re returning to has changed, and the path forward isn’t always clear. Having consistent guidance can make a real difference - helping someone move toward new opportunities instead of reverting to old patterns.
