KTC Board Applications Now Open!

We’re looking for a few passionate, community-minded folks to help guide the future of the Knoxville Track Club by serving on our Board of Directors. If you’re a current KTC member who loves running, walking, volunteering, or just helping people stay active — this could be a great opportunity to get involved in a bigger way.

The KTC Board plays a big role in shaping what we do — from races and events to youth programs, partnerships, and long-term planning. We meet once a month (fourth Monday at 6 p.m.) and are excited to bring new voices to the table.

We’re especially looking for individuals who are enthusiastic about:
• Road or trail running (competitive, social, or wellness-focused)
• Track & field
• Volunteerism
• Race timing

How to Apply:

To make things easy, we’re collecting all applications online this year. Just follow the link below to submit your application:

Deadline to apply is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025.

You’ll be asked to provide:

1. A little about yourself — your career, background, and running journey

2. Your history with KTC — how you’ve been involved or what brought you here

3. Why you’re interested in joining the Board

4. What strengths or perspectives you’ll bring to the team

5. A quick note confirming that you’ve reviewed the KTC Board of Directors Job Description and can meet the expectations

We want our board to reflect the energy and diversity of our club — so whether you’ve been involved for years or you’re just starting to plug in, we’d love to hear from you.

If you aren’t sure if you won something, check your results and it will tell you where you placed in your age group. Our plans to help alleviate the congestion we expected at the finish line fell short. We recognize how frustrating that is and want to acknowledge that the backup into the stadium is/was disappointing and not how we wanted the race to end.

As a pre-emptive token of our sincere gratitude that you endured today with us, we’re creating a coupon code for a free entry to any Knoxville Track Club event (except the spring marathon). Once we’ve got those plans finalized, we’ll email you a code to use at checkout.
