Closure of James White Greenway begins tomorrow, January 5th, and will remain closed until early spring for much needed repairs. This is the 200 foot section from Volunteer Landing to Riverside Dr. (near Ned McWherter Park). Be sure to plan your routes accordingly!

The new year is already off to a great start, and we have you all to thank for that! We hope you’ll join us at our next race on January 24th for the Oak Ridge 5 & 10 Milers, and if you’re feeling really wild, again on January 25th for the Wanderers’ trail race at Maryville College!

This year’s Treadin’ Trodden Trails series will be presented by Runners Market x HOKA, and we couldn’t be more excited for what that is going to mean for our 2026 trail races! The first race is the Wanderers’ 5k on January 25th, and it is the perfect course for beginners and pros alike. Sign up today and come check it all out!

As we begin to close out 2025, we would like to take the time to say goodbye to a beloved KTC race. The Whitestone 30k & Relay began on March 8, 2015* as part of the Treadin’ Trodden Trails series, and eventually morphed into The Whitestone 30k/12k/10k that included both trail and road runners. 10 years later, March 8, 2025 marked KTC’s final run at Whitestone. As we look forward into March 2026, the Treadin’ Trodden Trails series will hold The Trail That Can’t Be Concord 20k/10k/Kids Mile in its place on March 21st. KTC is also proud to announce the partnership with The Pistol Ultra and will be adding the multiple distance race to our schedule** for March 14th-15th! So while we are very sad to say goodbye to our beloved Whitestone, we are also very excited to be saying hello to two great races that we hope you join us at in 2026!

* Originally this race began in 2002 as a road only race, but in 2015 we added it to the TTT. Because we’re leaving it behind entirely, we’re honoring the trail and road years in this post.

**The 20 and 10 milers for The Pistol Ultra will be included in KTC’s Grand Prix series.
