After a 42 hour fast I had some scrambled eggs and spaghetti squash hash browns! It was delish!
I love the space that a longer fast gives me to really let my body rest and digest or rest and heal once the food has all moved out. I’ve been doing this an average of every other week since July. It feels great and I always feel happy when I get that first meal!
There is no one right way to do fasting. Some people do intermittent fasting and eat in a certain time frame, some do alternate day fasting (essentially a 36 hour fast followed by an 8-10 hour eating window, then repeats), some do one longer fast a week, some a 5 day fast per month. I regularly eat in a time restricted window averaging 3-5 hours, I give myself a day or 2 where I eat in an 8-10 hour window and then throw in a longer fast every other week.
