New Skates Unboxing!

Last Christmas I treated myself to an amazing gift. Here is the reveal of my new skates and a closer look at the M12 Lo Plus Cypress

My son helped me break in my liners and I went to to test them out.

I will create a more in depth review in the future. The premium liner, plates and frames have proven to be very useful. In comfort, responsiveness, stability and flexibility this skate provides a great advantage.

*NEW STUDENT ALERT*
aka Taylor!!

For his first lesson we practiced dropping in, 180s on the ramps, pumping, grind balance and exiting the ramp. He knocked all of these skills out of the park ⚾️

At the end of the night I challenged him to grind with both feet and he secured a killer clip! (Right foot back torque, left foot makio) He puts the PRO in progression!

We all learn differently : three styles include visual, audial and kinesthetic learning.

In skating you can learn from videos, your peers or of course by practicing! (Sometimes falling)

In my experience, visualization is an essential skill to learning new tricks. You have to plan and practice each movement before you can master it.

Aggressive Mall was one of my only shops I have had the privilege of visiting and shopping at in California. Although they closed many years ago they left a huge impact and catalogue of knowledge. Cheers to their crew and the community they helped build!

Congratulations to Thor and Astrid!

This is a historical moment, the youngest rollerbladers ever have earned their names on an inline skate. Monumentally talented and hailing from sunny California is the trio of , siblings Thor, Astrid and Norah have earned an incredible achievement at the young ages of 10, 9 and 6.

The usd glitch comes in two adjustable sizes US 13jr - 3 and 4 - 6 kids and cost 275$.
These kids’ aggressive inline skates offer adjustable sizing, durable construction, perfect for mastering tricks in parks and streets.

Hello all! I need to jump through a few more hoops before we are official. I wanted to update everyone and say I’ve been skating and working a lot. I hope summer will last long for us here in Wisco.

Here is an incredible video series created by professional stuntman T. Ryan Mooney about an important skill and topic : Learning to fall.

He shows three techniques and offers a hands on tutorial how to use them ; Side, front and back fall. Incorporating his 3 rules of thumb into your routine can help keep you safer in whatever sport or situation you’re in. The rules are muscle protects bone, bend comfortably, and protect your head. While skating accidents happen but if you keep safety and control in your mind you can avoid injuries.

I want to create my own series in the future explaining the importance of knowing how to fall! This is a great introduction to keeping your body healthy even while falling!

This weekend marks the 20th anniversary of one of the most iconic skate competitions, Winterclash!
All the way over in the Netherlands, Eindhoven is home to Area 51 skatepark. This ever changing, massive venue hosts global competitors and bolsters the sport with community, trade and fierce competition.
An unbeatable Latvian, gravity defying Brazilians, gracefully talented international athletes, all surrounded by fans and likeminded people who love wheels!
This event is supported by so many people who devote themselves to skating, a spearhead is YouTube professional Ricardo Lino. The production of a live stream allows everyone the chance to be a part of this amazing event.
Everyone involved makes this event possible from the organizers, brand owners, athletes and the audience.
Competition skating holds deep roots in skating and we need more events to come together and grow the community!

Happy New Year to everyone!

I want to make many resolutions this year.

When setting goals try to be smart: specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, timely.

This can help in any aspect of life such as work, school, exercise or even when learning a new skill.

This year I will set three goals for myself :
1. Learn 25 new tricks on skates!
2. Start my skate school!
3. Be kind to everyone!

The third one will be easy therefore my bonus goal will be to jump higher!

Have you decided your three goals of the year? Be abstract, be creative, be positive!
