Chronic anger that flares up or spirals out of control can have serious consequences for your:

- Physical health. Constantly operating at high levels of stress and anger makes you more susceptible to heart disease, diabetes, a weakened immune system, insomnia, and high blood pressure.

- Mental health. Chronic anger consumes huge amounts of mental energy, and clouds your thinking, making it harder to concentrate or enjoy life. It can also lead to stress, depression, and other mental health problems.

- Career. Constructive criticism, creative differences, and heated debate can be healthy. But lashing out only alienates your colleagues, supervisors, or clients and erodes their respect.

- Relationships. Anger can cause lasting scars in the people you love most and get in the way of friendships and work relationships. Explosive anger makes it hard for others to trust you, speak honestly, or feel comfortable—and is especially damaging to children.

According to the American Psychological Associate (APA), girls are less likely to be diagnosed with ADHD than boys at a young age. Girls rarely show signs typically associated with ADHD. Boys with ADHD will be hyper active and loud, while girls with ADHD will have inattentive disorder and generally be well behaved. Even adult women don't become diagnosed until they have their children diagnosed and realize they are experiencing the same symptoms as their child.

It's never too late to be diagnosed. Our ADHD services will get you the help you need to live a normal lifestyle.

In person services are provided at our offices in Santee, Alpine and La Mesa

Can’t Make It In Person? We provide counseling remotely while you stay home. Available for anyone in the state of CA.

Video counseling is an exciting service that is available for clients who are too busy, live too far away, have physical limitations or have trouble finding childcare. Now, we can meet wherever it is most convenient and comfortable for you – your couch, your kitchen, or your hotel room.

All that is needed is a smartphone or computer with internet access. We have found it to be just as effective as meeting face-to-face, and the research backs us up.

Video counseling is secure and accepted by major health insurance companies. And – perhaps the best reason to consider it – its ease-of-use makes it far more likely to stick with, and complete treatment to get you feeling better.
