Official Statement from APEX
To our valued members, supporters, and community:
We want to directly address the serious allegations circulating online regarding a former staff member at APEX. First and foremost, we want to be absolutely clear: the incident in question did not occur at APEX, nor on any of our property.
At APEX, we care deeply about the safety, respect, and well-being of every individual who walks through our doors—members, guests, and employees alike. Our gym is built on values of trust, accountability, and community, and we do not take any allegation lightly.
From the moment this situation was brought to our attention, we acted swiftly and responsibly by following the guidance of our legal counsel and Head of Human Resources. As an employer, we are both ethically and legally obligated to allow such matters to be handled appropriately through due process, without rushing to judgment or interfering with active investigations.
However, after careful consideration, we have made the decision to part ways with the individual in question.
We also want to speak to the wave of online attacks and accusations currently directed at APEX and our team. Our staff includes over 50 hard-working, ethical, and committed individuals who dedicate themselves daily to creating a positive environment for all. To suggest that our entire community or leadership supports or enables abuse is not only inaccurate—it is harmful.
We ask that conversations remain respectful, and that no one confuse silence with complicity. Silence can often reflect a commitment to getting it right—not rushing into statements that might interfere with legal or personal matters. That has been our approach throughout this difficult time.
We appreciate those who have reached out with concern and those who continue to support the values APEX stands for. Our mission remains the same: to offer a safe, empowering space where people come to grow stronger—physically, mentally, and together.
Sincerely,
APEX owner - Ty Aston
