To do a tummy tuck correctly we must address 3 things: muscle, skin and fat.

On the front view you see a smoother silhouette at the waist and hips because the incision was carried out far enough to remove this excess. Liposuction was also performed to slim the waist and contour the hips. On the side view you see a flatter tummy and no hanging skin.

During a tummy tuck we tighten separated muscles, remove excess skin and we also perform liposuction if needed.

When can you resume mammograms after breast surgery?

I typically recommend waiting three months after breast surgery before having a routine mammogram. This allows postoperative swelling to resolve and tissues to heal, helping ensure your imaging is both comfortable and accurate.

Always share your surgical history with your imaging center so appropriate views can be used when needed. Thoughtful timing and clear communication are key to protecting both your health and your results.
