I had a concussion that changed everything in a matter of moments. On 9/11/2007 I reluctantly joined the ranks of concussion. I sure as hell didn't go willingly.
When I did embrace my brain injury and tried with friends to figure out what it needed to keep going since all functions were at a full stop
By a stroke of luck, a friend sent me an article about oxygen therapy that gave a 16 yo legs to stand and words for this communication. It took months to learn how to "call on" a doctor to beg to get in the chamber just to see how things will go.
Today, 10 years later, I still have access to an oxygen chamber which "pumps up the tires" so you don't feel every bump in your day's road. Sure beats pharma which made me five times more hurting and quite frankly mean and angry. Hitting your head will p**s a person off especially if the concussion sticks on our central nervous system. I help folks who get treated and released when that wasn't enough by a looooong shot. Hell, I walked out of the ER worse than I walked in.
Concussions take time to manifest so GET CHECKED even though you "feel fine" BIG mistake. Get films and get rest and water avoiding any stimulant for at least three days.
There is a Cannabinoid system (7 nodes) in our bodies that take in CBD plant food and it goes to hundred of nodes when the concussion parks on our brains and CNS too. We are wired to take in plant medicine Source: PubMed
Oxygen did help the messed up pupil, depression and funky frustration was blown away, skin healed up nicely - when I fell breakable stuff broke in my hands, Sense of humor came trotting back in amongst other functions. I am a work in progress still after 17 years.
Best $15,000 I ever was forced to spend since insurance doesn't pay..... Been making progress get oxygen in use here in Lafayette and Nationally as well - North Carolina. Today, Progressive Insurance will cover your home oxygen chamber. Flo commercial
STOP BLOWING OFF CONCUSSIONS. We've been adding to the alcoholics, spouse beaters, generally sad people scared to speak out about their NON MENTAL illness as well as new introverts who happen to become loners post brain trauma which INCLUDES all abuse!
Don't drink and drive, it a great way to conk your head in an accident. Thank you.
