NOTE: by relentless I think that they imply more of a hyperactive funny/scary to others yet talked about as crazy. Patient usually can't help themselves nonetheless. Sometimes they know that they can be really inappropriate at the wrong times. Like an autistic being overwhelmed and presenting coping mechanisms that may include body movement. It just happens like dat. Oh, and they appear fine

For rigid goal setting, my insight to share is the person who simply must have the first spot closest to the door and may ask the store owner if parking inside was available. It's a little of overcompensation from a weakness that no one can readily see, so it must be made up?! Please say something if you have found yourself stuck. Thank you

Just saw on another public page that a brain injury survivor was just today ok'd to drive herself around in her own vehicle. What a BIG deal as many do not return to driving a vehicle ever again. I was reigned inside three miles from my house which in DC terms is huge since there's so much packed inside of it. I broke the agreement several times over due to concussion reasons. Anyway, Congratulations to the Survivor and stay safe out there!

Helped a very old woman into her driver's car. She knew exactly what to you to get my attention. Shopping cart driven straight into me at the door while she smiled looking onward. She grabbed my hand that I could barely feel due to the ever so light touch. In perfect timing, her driver pulled up as I opened the door heard a blockbusting cacophony of blessings and appreciation.

I thanked them wondering how in the world she was going to make it without my help!!? She was supporting the wall for a couple minutes waiting for her driver to come up.

Hey, if you have help then stay with the person bolstering you. Falling is the NUMBER ONE way to gain a brain injury. Older the person the way harder the recovery

Join me this Tuesday, September 24th, 11CST/12EST

Earlier this year, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) formally designated brain injury as a chronic health condition. But what does that mean for those who experience brain injury? Shines a light on what's needed now instead of trying to believe that the injury exists in the first place due to lack of diagnostics that help vs skip right over it.

I will be participating in a live, free webinar with the Brain Injury Association of America to talk about what this change really means for the brain injury community and how we can leverage this designation to build better systems of care for people with brain injury.

See you there!

Join us! September 24th 11CST/12EST

This is about the huge step we took as a community to call out brain injury as an actual long term health consideration.

Americans beg and wait for their brain to be healed not just treated and release especially after a concussion.

Be smart and register below should you be interested in joining the online Zoom call.

Grateful to those who walk this journey with me. You're not alone.

I had a concussion that changed everything in a matter of moments. On 9/11/2007 I reluctantly joined the ranks of concussion. I sure as hell didn't go willingly.
When I did embrace my brain injury and tried with friends to figure out what it needed to keep going since all functions were at a full stop

By a stroke of luck, a friend sent me an article about oxygen therapy that gave a 16 yo legs to stand and words for this communication. It took months to learn how to "call on" a doctor to beg to get in the chamber just to see how things will go.

Today, 10 years later, I still have access to an oxygen chamber which "pumps up the tires" so you don't feel every bump in your day's road. Sure beats pharma which made me five times more hurting and quite frankly mean and angry. Hitting your head will p**s a person off especially if the concussion sticks on our central nervous system. I help folks who get treated and released when that wasn't enough by a looooong shot. Hell, I walked out of the ER worse than I walked in.

Concussions take time to manifest so GET CHECKED even though you "feel fine" BIG mistake. Get films and get rest and water avoiding any stimulant for at least three days.

There is a Cannabinoid system (7 nodes) in our bodies that take in CBD plant food and it goes to hundred of nodes when the concussion parks on our brains and CNS too. We are wired to take in plant medicine Source: PubMed

Oxygen did help the messed up pupil, depression and funky frustration was blown away, skin healed up nicely - when I fell breakable stuff broke in my hands, Sense of humor came trotting back in amongst other functions. I am a work in progress still after 17 years.

Best $15,000 I ever was forced to spend since insurance doesn't pay..... Been making progress get oxygen in use here in Lafayette and Nationally as well - North Carolina. Today, Progressive Insurance will cover your home oxygen chamber. Flo commercial

STOP BLOWING OFF CONCUSSIONS. We've been adding to the alcoholics, spouse beaters, generally sad people scared to speak out about their NON MENTAL illness as well as new introverts who happen to become loners post brain trauma which INCLUDES all abuse!

Don't drink and drive, it a great way to conk your head in an accident. Thank you.

Found a meter, I need one to "root out" those who are making brain injury up. That's after they are treated and released and the family's life is in up heaving mode. Families call Bu****it when the insurance cuts them off post concussion after 90 days. Mine did which began my search for any improvement
