We want to say thank you to everyone who made the Chambers County Young Farmers Rodeo on November 21 & 22 possible. This event would not have happened without the incredible support from our community, our sponsors, and the Chambers County Sheriff Jeff Nelson. Thank you Frontier Classic Rodeo for hosting. Thank you Elli Zorn for the amazing photos. Thanks for all the Young Farmers for the time they spent behind the scenes and during the rodeo. Your help, time, and dedication truly mean more than we can say.

Thank you to everyone who came out to watch and support us, even through the rain. Your presence and encouragement meant everything. Thank you to all the contestants who competed, and to all the rodeo personnel who worked hard to keep everything running smoothly.

Most of all, we thank the good Lord for watching over the riders, livestock, and everyone involved. We put God first, and without Him, nothing is possible. We are truly blessed by this community and the support we continue to receive.

Our Young Farmers Christmas Party was a fantastic way to round off the year. Members came together to enjoy a warm, welcoming evening with a roaring bonfire, great company, and a delicious spread of homemade food prepared by our own members.

Thank you to everyone who helped and supported us throughout the year. Your effort, enthusiasm, and commitment have made it another great year for our Young Farmers.

We’d like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and we look forward to seeing you all again in the year ahead.

The Alabama Farmers Federation’s 104th annual meeting brought together farmers from all 67 counties under the theme “Fighting for Farmers.” The gathering focused on advocacy, leadership, celebration, and preparation for political engagement and agricultural challenges ahead.

Our young farmers go above and beyond with participation and leadership. Thank you Chambers County!

Farm City Tour 2025: Kids Learn, Laugh, and Love Life on the Farm

Children from several Chambers County public schools got a hands-on taste of country life during this year’s Farm City Tour 2025, and the smiles said it all! From the moment the buses rolled in, excitement filled the air as students stepped off and into a day of discovery on the farm.

Throughout the tour, the children learned where their food comes from — seeing firsthand how crops are planted, cared for, and harvested. They visited barns, touched farm equipment, and even got to meet the animals up close. For many, it was their very first time petting a goat, playing in corn, or climbing up on a tractor.

Guided by Rankin’s Dairy & RL&M farm, the kids learned about the importance of agriculture in everyday life — from the milk in their breakfast to food for farm animals. Lessons in sustainability, conservation, and hard work came to life in the most engaging way possible.

Between the hayrides, fresh air, and laughter, the Farm City Tour offered not just a fun day out, but an unforgettable educational experience that connected city kids with their rural roots.

As one teacher summed it up, “You can teach about farming in a classroom, but out here — they feel it, see it, and truly understand it.”

The Farm City Tour 2025 was a wonderful success, inspiring a new generation to appreciate the people and processes that keep our communities fed and thriving. Thank you to all who helped from the farm owners, young farmers, and many volunteers!
