Special people helping those in need. Thanks for being there and doing what you do! Cathy & Andy
Dear Community Supporters,
On behalf of the entire team of Our Lady of Victory Food Pantry, we want to extend our deepest gratitude for your incredible support during the past year.
This year has been filled with ups and downs considering the many challenges in our food systems. We, nevertheless, have remained resilient.
Your generosity, specifically financial, food, equipment, and n-kind donations have made it possible for us to serve over 350 families at our monthly distributions, over 75 families through our monthly emergency pantry, and close to a hundred through our home deliveries and commodity distribution.
Special events this year included: Thanksgiving Hot Holiday meals for 400, Christmas Party Meal and Toy giveaway for over 125 families and children, and support to several collaborative partner agencies in New Iberia.
Because of the enormous support from Second Harvest Food Bank with online shopping and retail pickup from generous donors, we have been able to meet the growing community increases for food support.
In addition, ongoing support from Catholic Charities, heavily supports our emergency bag distribution. Our Lady of Victory is very fortunate to receive this support.
We are very excited to share a few highlights from this year:
Second Harvest – Parish TEFAP Referral Community Partner:
Household: 449 (327 Seniors)
Adults: 319
Children: 190
Senior Commodities in partnership with Second Harvest: 134
Emergency Bag and Additional Community Support: 24-35
Recipient: Walmart Rac3 Grant Re**er Van (Dec 25) for Retail Pickup Expansion:
Van granted
Thank you again for being such a vital part of our community and for believing in our mission.
We are Iberia Parish specific with focus on Loreauville and surrounding.
With heartfelt thanks,
Cindy Louis, Our Lady of Victory Food Pantry
