What is mindful eating?🍽️

Mindful eating can help you pay more attention to your experiences, cravings, and physical cues when you eat. Research shows that it can help with binge eating and improve digestion.

Here are some ways to practice mindful eating:

➡️ Eat more slowly
➡️ Chew your food thoroughly⁠
➡️ Minimize distractions⁠
➡️ Use all of your senses
➡️ Notice emotional triggers
➡️ Stop when you are comfortably - but not overly - full

Try it anytime and anywhere - a small pause can transform eating into a connection with food. 🤍

Tinnitus is a chronic condition where you hear "ringing" or noises in one or both ears, is not curable. Protecting your ears in loud environments lowers risk, and research suggests dietary changes may help too.

Eating protein and fiber together is a great way to feel full longer! Snacks like these keep me full for at least 3-4 hours.

If you find yourself feeling hungry between meals, craving sugar or salty food, try eating a snack that is high in both protein and fiber.

What to look for in a snack that will keep you full:
- At least 3 grams of fiber (you need between 25-38 g/day)
- 5 or more grams of protein - an egg has about 6g protein
- Low or no added sugars
