I can’t get over these last couple of days. Absolutely surreal. April 2nd we celebrated Bree’s 17th birthday! Mahalo Nui to Kristen. Depending on whose house she’s at it’s other mom. If you’re new here we’re a blended family. I think we all concluded that all children deserve love, attention, and affection.
Something that stuck out was Bree mentioning how she got to spend time with her friends at home without her siblings. Iykyk. As much fun as it is to have little siblings a lot of times it’s nice not to be interrupted every 5 mins. She explained that it was nice to just play, hang out, and listen to whatever music they wanted. We do our best to make time for Bree and her friends to go out and explore so I overlook that she just wants to sit in her safe place. We love a SAFE place for our kids to be able to express themselves. The world’s hard as it is. While we didn’t get to partake in the teenage shenanigans we did get to surprise her and enjoy cake duh!! And the photos and all the memories made. Thank you Kristen Mom. 💜💜💜💜And while I’d love to share more photos of that love I have to respect the privacy of the family’s who shared their love with Bree 💜💜
Last night we shared a beautiful dinner at our favorite family spot Dukes Maui to celebrate my dad’s retirement. Our PREGAME started with a pool party that started at 12:30 but we didn’t get there until 3 😜 Hawaiian time. Ho`omanawanui. We had to go and use the water slide one last time. I spent 34 years using that place as my playground. I remember sneaking around property, riding the elevators and just kinda dilly dallying around the place. At one point the hotel kid center would let me hang with them because the lady who ran it was a mom too so she knew the struggles. She was always so kind to my dad. THANK YOU aunt Debbie. 😏
Throughout the years I would take the girls and have pool days because who doesn’t wanna be the cool mom 😎 Nah I did it because bruh! Overstimulated, overwhelmed?! Get outside and get in water. Today was an end of an era. Yet I’m in total gratitude 🙌🏽

I cannot articulate the upmost gratitude I have that will encapsulate how this journey as an advocate has changed me. Aloha kākou, if you’re new here I’m Victoria. I’ve created this journey of different ways I want to help people. In this chapter I have taken on the work of family leader advocate where it allows me to speak up on different issues that not only impact Maui but the whole of Hawaii. 🌺
This trip has taught me that it doesn’t matter how we show up as long as show up with the intention to do what is right. When I started attending these different meetings and trainings I didn’t expect it to open up life changing and lifetime opportunities as big as this; and to be on the same stage as my mentors is such a surreal feeling.
My AHA moment was recognizing that threshold moment going from a mentee to mentor. I’ve always had a plethora of knowledge to share and this conference made me realize that I’ve been talking to the wrong audience. While it feels like I’ve been set back from my purpose, it’s made me a stronger voice; a stronger advocate.

I have to believe in myself more. When I do, s**t like this happens. Kepaniwai has been an intricate part of my healing after the fire so to see this transformation has instilled more confidence in my resourcefulness and manifestation.
First photo is Dec 3 2024 one of the first times we stepped into the valley. That one day is all it took to set things in motion. Reflecting on that moment and seeing everything else click into place only confirms that this timeline was always part of my journey.
The second photo was taken today after putting in some hard work. Good thing we had the clouds to cast shadows and gently misting us as we moved rocks, pulled weeds, and mounded the kalo babies.
I also was honored with the kuleana of kilo and I couldn’t be more proud 🙌🏽🤌🏽
