This was one of my senior pictures and I need everyone to pause with me for a second because WHAT was happening here 😂

First of all I did not box.
Never boxed.
Not even once.
Yet here I am…. For the aesthetics, obviously 💁‍♀️🤦‍♀️

At 17, I was deep in my “health era” which actually meant:
-“Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” shared like a life motto all over my Facebook.
-Cardio. Hours of it. Daily.
-Low-cal everything because food = fear
-Plexus Slim (yes, I drank it… and 1000% believed in it)

Ohhh and it was also my FULL GTL era IYKYK
Gym. Tan. Laundry. Thank you, Jersey Shore, for your service. 🫡

I thought being healthy meant:
Being smaller no matter the cost
Earning food through suffering
Feeling tired, hungry, and sore at all times
And calling it “discipline” instead of what it really was… disordered

And listen… this wasn’t just a me problem.
This was an entire generation of girls being raised by diet culture, fear-based motivation, fat-free labels, and then being shocked when it wrecked our relationship with food, our bodies, and our metabolism years later.

Fast forward almost 15 years and I now work with women who are STILL:
• Terrified to eat enough
• Overdoing cardio “just in case”
• Treating rest like laziness
• Undereating and wondering why their metabolism hates them

Spoiler: it doesn’t hate you.
It’s just traumatized.

All because early-2000s wellness told us pain was the price of health.

We were sold absolute nonsense.

Who else was personally victimized by early-2000s “health” culture? 🙋‍♀️
Because I know I was.

Grapefruit diets.
1200 calories being marketed as “plenty.”
Low-rise jeans and constant body checking.
Fat-free everything.
Being told hunger = discipline.

And then we’re shocked when, years later, women are:
exhausted
inflamed
stuck losing and regaining the same 10–15 lbs
convinced they “lack willpower”

Here’s the part I’ll say with my whole chest:
If you’ve never been able to lose weight or feel good without restriction, you’re probably still playing by millennial diet rules.

And that’s not okay.

Your body isn’t broken.
Your metabolism isn’t “slow.”
You were just taught BS.

Real health = eating enough, training smart, supporting hormones, and building a metabolism that works with you… not against you.

I shouldn’t be as confident as I am.

At least, not by society’s standards.

I hear women’s deepest insecurities every single day.
I know exactly what the internet says is “hot,” especially once you’re in your 30s.
And I’ve heard more than once how people are impressed by how confidently I take up space…as if there’s no way I could possibly struggle too.

So let me be clear.

There are plenty of things that should make me insecure… but don’t.

I have loose skin around my belly button from gaining 75 pounds with each pregnancy (two babies in less than a year.)

I have a gnarly C-section scar sitting right above my va**na, complete with literal craters from an infection that put me in wound care for six months.

I have very asymmetric b***s. And after pregnancy, they went from “bigger than Texas” to what can only be described as a baseball in a tube sock.

Don’t even get me started on the fact that it’s basically an extreme sport making sure my ni***es are pointing in the same direction when they randomly get hard and show through my sports bras. 😂

There is a lot I could let shrink me.
A lot I could hide.
A lot I could apologize for.

But I don’t.

Because these “flaws” tell a story.
Of where I’ve been.
Of what I’ve carried.
Of what I’ve survived and accomplished.

I don’t pretend they don’t exist.
I just don’t let them decide who I am.

This is grown-woman confidence.
And it’s not pretending you’re perfect.
It’s owning who the hell you are and refusing to make yourself smaller because of it.

I want to share this with you because I think it’s important you understand why I coach the way I do.

I don’t just teach the Metabolic Rebuild Method.
I live it.

I’ve lived the process of losing weight while supporting my metabolism, my hormones, and my confidence in the middle of a very full life.

I’ve felt the frustration.
The excitement.
The hope.
The doubt.
The moments where you’re proud of yourself and the moments where you quietly wonder if you’re doing enough.

After having my daughter, I lost about 40 pounds. Going into 2025 I weighed 185 lbs, I still had more I wanted to lose (35 lbs to be exact).

I felt better than I had before, but I wasn’t quite where I wanted to be.

I was continuing to apply the same method I coach the women I work with every single day.

Life didn’t slow down.
My business grew.
I was raising kids.
