Dear , NFP wanted to let you all know about a FREE EKG (heart screening) event coming up on Valentine's Day in Jacksonville. This event is for anyone aged 10 years old to 22 years old and is taking place at the Lobby of Nemours Children's Health. 807 Children Way, Jacksonville, Fl 32207. Please register at https://form.jotform.com/260259088919066 to reserve your spot.

Under a new Florida law called the "Second Chance Act", which takes effect in July 2026. Starting next school year, every High School student-athlete will be required to have one standard EKG test before their enrollment in any school-sponsored sport activity.

An EKG test done up to 2 years before the 2026-2027 deadline will meet the requirement. That means if you have a 7th or 8th grader who gets an EKG, this will count for them when they get to high school sports team.
