"Put Yourself In My Shoes". This activity is done during the Activity Director Certification Class. Sunglasses with sanded lenses are worn to blur vision, gloves worn to make daily tasks a little more difficult, adult diapers are worn, etc. When assisting someone who has lost some or all of their independence, this activity reminds us to always practice patience, kindness, empathy and above all respect to our residents at all times.
