There are many people receiving their replacement CPAP machines in Havasu. The DreamStation 2 Advance looks very different than the white DreamStation. Everyone is getting their machine with accurate and current settings. Just plug it in. ALLPAPS will hold an informal question and answer session January 19th at 1955 McCulloch Blvd N. at 4 P.M. for those with questions or concerns about their new replacement. Thanks

The customer I spoke about in my recent post received his replacement today as scheduled! The settings were correct as well. He received his recalled machine last January and it was replaced with a Dreamstation 2 Auto! The sales rep for Phillips told me that when the machines get plugged in that the correct settings populate automatically. Today is a good day!

A customer came into the store today. He showed me proof Phillips Respironics is sending him a replacement! He is scheduled to have it delivered Tuesday. I hope others in Havasu get good news real soon.

Some Good News from Phillips!

We are pleased to share an important update regarding your Philips device replacement. Philips received authorization from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the repair and replacement program for devices impacted by the June 14, 2021 recall notification*.

With this approval, we are initiating the repair and replacement program that puts patient safety and speed of resolution as the top priorities. Further, we have significantly increased our production, service and rework capacity to deliver replacement devices as fast as possible.

Also, we have learned of some fraudulent activity targeting patients impacted by this recall. We want to assure you that Philips will never ask for any payment or credit card information by phone or email.

Patient care is at the heart of everything we do at Philips. While we are starting to replace devices, in some cases, this process may take approximately 12 months. We will stay in communication with you regarding your replacement device. If you have already received a replacement device, please follow the instructions included in the box.

Respironics is shipping 80 thousand Dreamstation 2 units this week. It is estimated 4 million units will need repaired or replaced. 40 thousand flyers have went out today as well. These flyers are notices to register your product online. This machine is VERY different from the previous model. Who will provide the education on the device is yet to be determined. Updates will be made as soon as they are available.

There is a CPAP and Bi-Level shortage as of 07/06/21. We have a limited supply of machines at this time. Our cash price for machines have unfortunately increased due to the shortage. This shortage has effected machine purchases only. We will post more updates when more information is available.
