Why I Do ‘Energetic Hygiene’ Before Entering an Airport (And Why You Might Need It Too)
Raise your hand if travel turns you into a tensed, rushed, less-patient version of yourself. 🙋♀️
Same here!
Airports used to flip my nervous system into full-blown survival mode:
✈ That free-fall feeling in my belly at TSA
👀 Dilated pupils, scanning for danger—even when I was early
😣 Short-tempered, edgy, and overwhelmed until takeoff finally gave me permission to breathe
Sound familiar?
I just flew to visit family last weekend—and this time, I remembered a powerful shift I often forget to use when I need it most:
My energetic hygiene practice.
Before heading to the airport, I paused—and instead of rushing, I reset. Here's what that looked like:
1️⃣ Grounding – Letting anxious energy release through my body and out
2️⃣ Reclaiming – Calling back all the parts of me scattered in to-do lists, deadlines, people’s expectations
3️⃣ Sealing – Wrapping myself in light so I wouldn’t absorb the stress of every frantic traveler around me (fellow empaths, you get it)
The result?
✅ No inner chaos.
✅ No energetic whiplash from crowds.
✅ Just calm presence, even in busy terminals.
It was such a different experience. I wasn’t snapping. I wasn’t in a rush. I wasn’t taking on everyone else’s emotions like a sponge.
This isn’t just for airports.
This is a daily survival tool for high-performing, big-hearted, energy-sensitive humans.
If you’re someone who:
⚡ Always pushes through stress
💼 Is responsible for everything and everyone
🌊 Feels overwhelmed in crowded spaces or intense environments...
Energetic hygiene is not “woo”—it’s wise.
