Unpopular opinion: You can’t “just breathe” your way out of overwhelm.

I recorded a video breaking down the mindset shift that actually helps my clients stop the burnout cycle without adding another thing to their to-do list.

Watch this if you’ve ever caught yourself thinking, "I have so much to do, I can't keep up."

In the video, I break down the real reason high-performing badasses burn out. And it’s not what you think.

If you’re stuck in the overwhelm → reset → overwhelm loop and you’re ready to break it for good…

Hit play.

Your purpose is not lost, you badass, you!
It's just buried it under a pile of "urgent" tasks.

You know exactly what lights you up and the impact you want to make in the world.

But you've convinced yourself you need to "get through this busy season first."

You'll connect to your mission just as soon as you clear your inbox, finish this project, or get past the next deadline.

But that day never comes, does it?

The whirlwind of busywork isn't just distracting you from your purpose. It's actively suffocating it.

Every "urgent" task that doesn't align with your mission is another step off your true path.

You don't need to find your purpose. But you do need to stop abandoning it for a to-do list that will never be finished.

If you're ready to silence the noise of false urgency and let your purpose lead your calendar instead of the other way around, DM me 'PURPOSE'. I'll show you the first step.

Want to know the lie high-achievers tell themselves about 'staying on top of everything?'

You think the answer is a better system, a better planner, more discipline.

But, the more you try to control the list, the more your brain is reminded of everything that's out of your control. That 'low-grade anxiety' is a feature of a high-performance mind that's out of alignment.

It's the feeling that you're forgetting something, that you're not doing enough.
And no amount of organizing can silence that voice. That's because it's a feeling, not a list. And you can't organize your way out of a feeling.

If you're tired of managing lists and ready to dissolve the underlying anxiety that creates them, DM me 'ENOUGH'.

I used AI to create a photo of me hugging myself as a child. It felt so good to hold her.

Seeing this image immediately made me soften my shoulders, reminding me that life is full of playful adventures and joyful fun when we just let it be.

I took this as an opportunity to do a little Inner Child work and I gently reminded little Sheyla:

You don't have to perform to be accepted. You are valuable and enough just as you are.

You don't have to get it right the first time. It's safe to try, to fail, to spill the paint, and to be imperfect.

Your wants are not an inconvenience. It's okay to ask for what you need.

Your voice matters. Use it to say no, to disagree, to set boundaries. It’s OK.

You are not responsible for the reactions or emotions of others.

Being kind doesn't mean you have to disappear. Don't lose yourself in the effort to please.

Hold your inner child close today. They deserve it!

What is one healing truth you can offer your little self today?

An unpopular opinion on anxiety...

We hear that "The Body Keeps Score," and of course, I can't refute science. Trauma deeply impacts our physical and mental health. Yes!

But I believe a crucial step is missing in how we approach healing.

Before a symptom manifests in the body, it always exists as a disruption in our energetic field. If we jump straight to healing anxiety at the physical level, we're addressing the effect, not the cause.

Our brain chemistry always reacts to the state of our energy body. That's why I see the order of healing as:

Spirit: Clearing and balancing the foundational field. This is where energy work and practices shines.

Mind: Then, integrating and reprocessing the stories and emotions. This is where traditional mental health therapy shines.

Body: Finally, releasing the physical holding and restoring health. This is where exercise, medicine, and diet come into play.

It all intertwines, but the point of origin is always the energy. That is the most powerful place to begin. Starting there makes the work of the mind and body much more effective.

Tired of just managing your anxiety instead of resolving it?

In my FREE Path to Peace session, we'll pinpoint the energetic blockages at the root of your stress and create a clear, actionable plan to release them. This is your first step toward lasting calm.

I share a lot about my work as an energy healer and anxiety coach, but I wanted to take a moment to share a little more of the person behind Mindful Vibes with Sheyla Zayas.

I feel like I’m in my late teens at heart, so it’s a cute surprise to my system to realize I’m navigating my fabulous mid-40s.

My family is my heart. I’m a proud T**i Sheyla to 7 AMAZING nieces and nephews and a stepmother to two wonderful young men.

I’m about to celebrate 2 years of marriage with my partner-in-crime, Vinnie, who I’ve actually been building a life with for a full decade.

When I legally changed my last name, I also updated the spelling of my first name (Sheyla) to better match its pronunciation. It was a powerful act of aligning my external identity with my internal truth.

You’ll rarely catch me in heels anymore. I’m a flats girl mostly these days. The reason is quite a story. Let me know if you’d like a dedicated post on that!

Traveling is one of my greatest joys. It fuels my soul and expands my perspective. I’ve been blessed to explore 9 different countries in the last 3 years alone. ✈️

I have a passion for crystals and I consider myself an authority on their profound uses for healing and spiritual growth.

How this all connects to my work:

My own healing journey began almost 14 years ago when a counselor looked at me and said, “That is trauma.” That one simple statement cracked my world open and started me on a path of deep self-discovery.

That journey is why I’ve been professionally helping professionals heal from anxiety and unmanageable stress for the last 4.5 years. And I HUMBLY say I’m excellent at it. This is my life’s purpose.

It’s why my calm presence and deep listening are my superpowers. People, even total strangers, often tell me things they never planned to say aloud. I provide the safe, no-judgment space for those truths to surface, be acknowledged, and healed.

Thanks for letting me share a more personal side with you!

Your Girl,

Sheyla

Ever have that voice in your head that tells you to play it safe, that people will judge you? Yeah, mine is named Bertha. This is how I talk back to her.
