Please help support one of our clients and share this post if you can. This is one of the sweetest families that I have cared for and unfortunately their baby is in the ICU with a heart condition. Help with meals is greatly appreciated during this time. Thank you.

We are coming together to support the Briscoe family during a challenging time. Their baby is currently in the hospital, and we want to alleviate some of their stress by providing meals. This meal train will allow them to focus on their baby’s recovery without the added worry of daily cooking or p...

Celebrating Black Maternal Health Week with recognition from Frontier Nursing University

The first step in solving a problem is understanding what the problem is. As Triana Boggs, APRN, CNM (Class 186), opened Motherland Birthing and Wellness LLC, she did so with first-hand knowledge of how it can help address the community’s needs.

“I became a teen mother at the age of 16 and experienced the worst of what the United States maternity care system is often known for,” said Boggs, who grew up in Bowling Green, Kentucky. “Without knowing or ever having heard of the term midwife, after my traumatic birth experience, midwifery became my calling.”

“My passion for community service and engagement stems from my childhood experiences of being a child in need,” Boggs said.

We welcome and congratulate another growing family on the birth of a handsome baby boy January 26, 2025.

We are passionate about caring for families who are desiring more than the standard pre-packaged service that is offered in a lot of institutional hospital based settings. We gladly accepted Jayda into care in her 3rd trimester and provided education and the resources that she needed to birth her first baby at home.

We can not be more proud of the hard work put in to mentally and physically prepared for this day and we are so honored to have witnessed and supported you and your family.

Jayda labored at home with the support of her family and amazing doula for 10 hours before pushing out her beautiful baby in just a couple of pushes in the birth tub. During transition, Jayda was packing her bags and preparing for transfer to the hospital for pain relief, but we were able to get her back in the water and encourage her to push through.

Congratulations again!!! 🎉

Thank you to an amazing team!

Today is a very special day and one that I still can't believe that I am recognized for. 🥹

Before the birth of my children and becoming a NICU nurse, I was not aware of Midwives or what they did. Time and time again, I witnessed trauma from birthing people. Those experiences led me to seek a solution, in which I found in Midwives.

Today we pat ourselves on the back and we congratulate one another for doing the work to provide the care that all birthing people need and deserve.

Happy International Day of the Midwife!!
