This is what autoimmune life actually looks like.

Some days it’s crushing fatigue and brain fog.
Some days it’s bloating, discomfort, and not recognizing your body.
Some days it’s red eyes, achy joints, and frustration you can’t explain.

And then—sometimes—you wake up with good energy.
Meals feel safe.
Your body feels like it’s on your side again.

Healing isn’t linear. Progress isn’t obvious.
But learning your body and giving yourself grace matters more than perfection.

Doing a little ✨natural fiber audit✨ of my t-shirt drawer today and honestly… it was humbling. 😂
For the longest time I never looked at fabric tags. If it was cute and on sale? Into the cart it went.

Now I actually flip the tag over and check:

100% cotton? 👏

Linen blend? 👏

Silk? 👏

Polyester / acrylic / rayon mystery mix? …we need to talk.

As I’ve been learning more about synthetic fabrics (aka plastic-based fibers), it just makes sense to slowly transition to natural fibers when I can. Especially for pieces I wear all the time like basic tees.

They breathe better.
They feel better.

And personally, I just don’t love the idea of living in plastic all day.

This isn’t about throwing everything out overnight. It’s about being more intentional with what I replace and what I buy going forward. Slow swaps > extreme overhauls.

So today we’re decluttering, checking tags, and keeping the good cotton basics. 🤍

Eating out with autoimmune issues can feel like a full-time job.

But it is possible… if you know how to order.

📍 The Joinery – Lakeland, FL

Here’s what worked for me:
– Pulled pork (plain, no sauce)
– Fries cooked in beef tallow 🙌
– GF/DF berry sorbet for dessert

Simple tweaks, but they make all the difference.

Because for a lot of us, it’s not about being “picky”…
it’s about avoiding flare-ups, inflammation, and days of feeling awful after one meal.

Learning how to order this way has honestly been one of the biggest game changers.

You don’t have to stop living your life—

This is one of those meals I make when I don’t feel like cooking…
but still want something warm, filling, and not full of junk

Everything goes in one pot
minimal prep
and it actually tastes GOOD

Simple, gut-friendly, and perfect for busy nights

This has been on repeat in our house lately

What’s your go-to “I don’t feel like cooking” meal??
Recipe:
Chicken breasts or tenders
Carrots
1-2 cups rice
-Chicken tenders
-Salt & pepper
-Paprika & garlic powder
-Onion powder & parsley
-Olive oil
-Toss them around to coat them
-Add carrots between chicken pieces
-2 cups of bone broth
-Add fresh thyme or rosemary to the top
-Bake 350° for 1 1/2 hours
-Remove the herbs and pour out the liquid
-Mix cornstarch (arrowroot powder) and water and add to broth to thicken
-Add broth back to chicken
-Heat oven up to 450°
-Bake another 20 minutes
-Make your rice
