Our Story

Hi everyone, I’m Sarah Beth a busy mother, wife, teacher, and creator, just trying to keep it together and taking it one day at a time.

I found Chalk Couture during a very stressful time in my life. I was struggling with the pressures of being a mom and wife coupled with the feeling I was losing who I am as an individual. (Mothers of young children I know you feel me!) I had very limited time for me and sitting down to drink wine and scroll Facebook seemed to only lead to further dissatisfaction with my life. My mental health was at an all time low and I needed something to bring the spark back in my spirit. I started doing things for me, meditating and finding time for friends. I attended a few “crafty” workshops in my area and realized how much fun and joy it brought me, I started to craft on my free time. When I heard about Chalk Couture I knew I had found something that would help bring that spark back and I’ve been obsessed ever since.

Did you know that creativity releases feel good hormones like dopamine and serotonin? It’s a great outlet to help with depression and anxiety, which is why I am now on a mission to share the joy of crafting with all of you. I am here to help you get your happy on by providing products, instructions, and workshops to help you feel the joy and mental clarity one can achieve with expressing creativity through crafting and creating.
