Boncha - Homebrewed Kombucha Boncha is a small family business selling organic, fizzy home-brewed kombucha in delicious flavors of fruits and spices.

The concept of kombucha sounded nothing less than a magic potion to me; carbonated and delicious yet healthy. I loved the home brewed version I tried so much that I immediately started my own batch. I started brewing in a pickle jar but quickly scaled out to 4 gallons. Kombucha became a favorite among my friends and our go to gifts in lieu of wine bottles. As we experimented with various flavors o

f herbs and fruits, we were able to fully cut down on soda with this probiotic alternative. The family business Boncha is created with a desire to share this “magic potion” with our dear customers. In my ethnic language Newari, “cha” is often appended to names as a term of endearment. Boncha is a blend of my name Bonny and the affectionate “cha” rhyming with Kombucha. This is also a testament to the rich Newari cuisine of which home brewed rice wine is an integral part.
