Staying safe after the storm
From Home Helpers® Home Care
Even after the snow stops falling, icy conditions can still pose risks—especially the day after a storm. Melting snow can refreeze overnight, creating slippery and unexpected hazards.
A few safety reminders to keep in mind today:
✔️ Be cautious of refrozen ice on sidewalks, steps, and driveways
✔️ Take your time when walking—short steps help prevent slips
✔️ Wear shoes or boots with good traction
✔️ Make sure entrances and walkways are as clear and well lit as possible
✔️ Limit trips outside until surfaces are safer
At Home Helpers Home Care, we’re here to help keep you and your loved ones safe and comfortable at home. If extra support is needed after the storm, our caregivers are ready to lend a hand.
Stay warm, stay safe, and take care today!
