**DECEMBER 20TH, we will have a special guest with us for our last night of the tour! Santa will be taking our guests in his "sleigh." We would like to do multiple trips, so if you do not make it at 5:30, we would like to do at least one more ride after their return. The estimated time per ride is 50 minutes. PLEASE DRESS WARM!

Disclaimer: This is not an actual sleigh, but Santa will be driving for the tour.

**Important Time Change**

There will be a time change to our event.
We will now be starting at 5PM. Lanterns will be released between 6:30 and 7PM. Please come as early as possible to give enough time to decorate the lanterns. We will be there starting around 2PM to begin prepping for everyone. Lanterns will still be $10 each, and you can buy multiple lanterns at the event!

Join us for a heartfelt evening as we honor Día de los Mu***os, a traditional Hispanic holiday celebrating the lives of those who have passed.

✨ Decorate your own water lantern in memory of a loved one, and release it onto the water in a beautiful display of light, love, and remembrance.

Parade day today! A few of us will be riding in the parade with signs for our upcoming events! After the parade be sure to come to the fairgrounds where there are activities and food!

We do not have a set date for this event, but we did have a good turn out last year! We will be starting a list of houses that would like to have us stop by. Send us a message or talked to one of our members if you are interested or have any questions.

We will be walking in the parade and then volunteering our time to help out at the activities at the fairgrounds! We hope to see a lot of people attending!

We will be doing our Day of the Dead Water Lanterns again! Join us Saturday, November 1, 2025 at North Gateway Park! We had a great turnout last year, and we hope to have an even bigger crowd this year!

Since our Cardboard Boat Regatta, we have slowed down, but not to worry, we will be back soon with fun events for everyone!

The end of October and early November, we plan to do our Day of the Dead water lantern night for the second year! We were very happy with the turnout for our first year. December will bring Christmas lights and our Light Tour. If you are interested in having us drive by your home, please reach out! The more houses we can get, the more trips we can plan!

We are hoping to be involved with this year's 9/11 parade and events out at the fairgrounds, so keep an eye out!

07/05/2025 We held our first Cardboard Boat Regatta. Only 2 boats showed up, but we had a lot of fun anyway! The boats raced across the water for the kids' race, and no one sank, so the parents decided that they wanted to give it a go in the same boats again! There was a backpack cooler on the line! Even after the adult race, no one had sunk so we all watched as the kids continued to have fun paddling the boats around until finally they tipped over, earning the Titanic award. The Pride of the Regatta was given to Grant and Briar for their checkered boat.

Thank you to Ginnifer Mauch for sharing your pictures with us and for bringing your family to compete and spectate!

Thank you to the Lamar Fire Department for standing by on the jet ski for extra safety precautions, even though it took a great effort for the boats to tip over! Madison got to sun tan, and you guys were able to run some practice rescues with Officer Toomey and Officer Appel.

Thank you to those who came out and watched our event! We hope that next year we will have a better turnout out so there is a little more competition!

This weekend is our Cardboard Boat Regatta! Join us on 07/05/2025 at the back ponds here in Lamar for a fun way to cool off on a hot weekend! As of right now, the weather outlook is sunny and in the 90s.

Pre-register so we have a good idea of how many people to expect!

Registration/Check-In starts at 9. The first race will start at 10, with a captain's meeting beforehand.

We hope to have a good turn out so that we can try and make this a yearly event!

Adults (18+) and Kids (10-17) boats are $25 per boat. Proceeds will help the Auxiliary support the Lamar Police Department.

Boats for the Kid's and Adult Races are $25 each. Proceeds go towards assisting the Lamar Police Department with purchases such as new equipment and supplies.
Skipper's Sailboat Race is free for ages 9 and below.

The map shows the locations for the races and where to go for registration and the captain's meeting. Balloons mark the entrance to the back ponds.

Participants will sign a waiver before competing in any event. Please see our previous posts for a full list of rules.
