Sometimes the body whispers, sometimes it screams. I heard the whispers. I felt more of a rumble with pressure in my head - that stirred me to shift a bit. I took time to slow down; when I listened, I found space for reflection and learning. These pauses are where growth takes root.

If you’re local to , I’d love to welcome you into class where we practice moving, resting, and noticing together. See www.movewellwithlisa.com for classes.

If you are not, I have an option for you for a FREE online CLASS this week. It will be a follow up to my presentation from the .
Comment: PAUSE and I’ll send you a link to sign up for a class and see what I covered in my PowerPoint presentation.

While sitting to sort thru my notes, videos, and program guide, I leaned into double Coregeous balls as support and when needed for mobility and movement. One of my FAVORITE resources — thank you !

My ramble on some highlights from the Ccngress.

So incredibly grateful for the experience! I will be sharing more —>>> but this is what emerged from my heart.

I offered a mini workshop on my passion of Therapeutic Movement during the . I practiced so many of the very things I teach. For me it was - listening and following my impulse. It looked, in part, like this:
- I rolled out my body in areas calling for my attention;
- I rested and noticed my breath;
- I ate a healthy and very yummy breakfast at The Ruby Slipper;
- I moved;
- I hydrated;
- I prayed;
- I shared kind words to myself;
- I hugged my new, dear friend who was the best moderator one could ask for my presentation!

I did it and I’m proud of myself for having the courage and building the capacity to share my work from an authentic and grounded place.

So much gratitude for those who have encouraged me!

“If you know what you are doing, you can do what you want.” ~ Moshe Feldenkrais

If you become aware of things that you are doing then you can make a change, the choice is yours.

I teach a class that supports students in becoming more aware. It’s Therapeutic Movemen. The power this approach lies in how its parts work together - it is a merging of somatic practice that includes physical therapy, self myofascial release, and education on nervous system health.

This is for YOU… if you’re not moving well, feeling overwhelmed, and you may be thinking stress levels have impacted your body and your health.

Tomorrow there is a class at 9:30 am in a sweet studio space at . Sign up at www.movewellwithlisa.com

Small class size = A personalized experience. No experience needed!

I shared my work—and it worked out.

If I didn’t practice what I teach, I would have canceled the trial run of the PowerPoint presentation I’ve been preparing for the upcoming Fascia Research Congress. (

But I didn’t quit. I paused, tuned in, and let my body guide me through the stress—weird technical issues one after the other.

A timely exit call with my mentor, , helped me prepare—to notice what was going on in my system and how to navigate the sensations.

💪🏽This is my work, in action.
💪🏽This is real-life, real-time Therapeutic Movement.

I offer Therapeutic Movement practices that give your body options—movement or stillness—whatever is most supportive in the moment. As a Somatic Practitioner, I teach Therapeutic Movement in groups and in 1:1 sessions, locally in and now online.

✔️ Reduce pain or daily tension
✔️ Take inventory of posture and alignment
✔️ Experience more peace and ease in movement and stillness
✔️ Add in some joy, creativity, and playful movement...
..these sessions are designed just for you.

They weave together my experience in physical therapy, myofascial release, nervous system care, and yes—there’s a little yoga in there too,
but it’s .

According to Gabor Maté MD ( )we can choose one of two paths of suffering or two points that cause pain: 1) Being ourselves and feeling unloved or unappreciated by some; 2) Abandoning ourselves and becoming unwell.

In the interview between he and Aimee Apigian, MD, ( ) he mentions that the choice is ours. It can be a difficult choice and one that may not feel available if we are unware of the inauthentic responses in the first place.

If we keep doing the same thing and not listening to the sensation, body signal, or reisitance to the ‘thing’ then we will likely develop dis-ease and maybe even chronic conditions …if it persists for a long time.

Want wholeness and health? Great…. Take the nudge to choose differently. If you want to learn more and begin to evaluate how you may be showing up for others or yourself, we could begin with a gentle Therapeutic Movement practice together to begin to open up to the idea of noticing.

Take a step and consider this for you. I offer 1:1 coaching as a Somatic Practcitoner - it blends physical therapy, yoga, self myofascial release, and education for nervous system health. For me, my personal practice has been mental health care, physcial health care, relational health care and so much more.

PS: This does not mean I will not help people in need or support others, but it nudges me to pause and notice if what I will say yes to is in alignment.

PSS: Change nothing = nothing changes.

Why should I slow down, I have so much to do? Ask youself - are you getting things done, but feeling overwelmed, overworked, in pain, tension, and desiring more ease in your day?

I know that slowing down for me was painful in the beginning. I had to learn to “move into stillness or more slowness”

Let’s explore what could happen if you do slow down a bit:

🛑Slowing down encourages you to be present in the moment, fostering a deeper connection with yourself and your surroundings.

🛑 It allows for more intentional decision-making, rather than being driven by impulsivity without clarity.

🛑 It can help lower a stress response and subsequent bodily responses such as increases heart rate or blood pressure.

🛑 Moving slowly can build more strength by requiring muscles to work more intentionally without relying on momentum.

🛑 It allows you to savor the journey and appreciate small, subtle changes.

🛑 Moving with more slowness can allows you to notice and enjoy things you might otherwise miss in the rush of everyday life.

I know there are many more benefits and each indiviudal will respond differently to the change of pace.

Practice slowing one thing down and notice what you notice.

The classes offer a theme-based approach in which a wellness topic is weaved through each session incorporating healthy ideals and opportunities to make it an individualized, take-home experience. Lisa is married and the mother of 4 children. She resides in Lancaster, PA eager to share her love of postural awareness and mind-body practices while empowering students to acknowledge challenges, honor their bodies, and allow for adjustments when needed.
