Our Story
Bio of Lisa Loiseau, MPT
Lisa received a degree in Exercise Science from University of Pittsburgh in 1992 and in Physical Therapy from Chatham College in 1995. She worked in clinical settings with adults and early intervention with children before she turned her focus to raising her own family. She re-entered the work force after 500-hours of adult yoga teacher training at Yoga Life Institute, ChildLight Yoga Children’s teacher training, coursework in Myofascial Release Therapy with John Barnes, and therapeutic training as a Roll Model Method Practitioner .
She offers individualized physical therapy and myofacial release bodywork to support clients in the areas of recovery from trauma, injury or chronic pain. The focus on an individual session may include improvement of body mechanics and postural imbalances, an enhancement of body and breath awareness, and reduction of pain and stress reactions. She has created a unique class entitled Therapeutic Movement. In teaching this class, she combines physical therapy, gentle yoga-like positions, self care fitness/massage, and nervous system regulation. The classes offer a theme-based approach in which a wellness topic is weaved through each session incorporating healthy ideals and opportunities to make it an individualized, take-home experience.
Lisa is married and the mother of 4 children. She resides in Lancaster, PA eager to share her love of postural awareness and mind-body practices while empowering students to acknowledge challenges, honor their bodies, and allow for adjustments when needed. She offers a safe environment to move and express oneself as she is a trauma-informed therapist.
Typical students may have the following objectives:
* Recovery from injury or chronic pain;
* Learn better ways to move during the work day or daily routine to decrease pain, move with ease and improve posture;
* Take better control during times of stress and overwhelm;
* Develop personal strength and/or relaxation routines.
