π§ Honey-Kissed Buttermilk Waffles (No Sugar)
Dry:
β’ 2 cups all-purpose flour
β’ 1 tbsp baking powder
β’ Β½ tsp baking soda
β’ Β½ tsp salt
Wet:
β’ 2 cups buttermilk (room temp)
β’ 2 tbsp Manuka honey (melted)
β’ Β½ cup melted butter (cooled slightly)
β’ 2 large eggs, room temp/ bonus if you separate the egg whites!
β’ 1 tsp vanilla extract
β¨ Method
1. Preheat waffle iron fully (very hot = crisp caramelization).
2. Whisk dry ingredients in one bowl.
3. In another bowl, whisk buttermilk + Manuka honey & butter until fully dissolved.
4. Add eggs and vanilla to the wet mixture.
5. Gently combine wet + dry. Lumps are okay β donβt overmix.
6. Let batter rest 5β10 minutes.
Then let your waffle iron do the rest!
