Ros Canter and Lordships Graffalo led the Mars Badminton Horse Trials from wire to wire, becoming the first combination ever to win the event three times.

“I hope this result makes ‘Walter’ the greatest in the world,” Canter said. “And for all the young people out there, you really can learn to be good under pressure. If you have the dream, it is possible.”

A wonderful opportunity for some one

My horse Audi will be available for an on-site lease in Parkesburg, Pa starting this summer, probably July. He’s a big horse with big movement so a rider that has the fitness to ride that size of horse (17.2h) is important. I’m confident he could earn someone their bronze medal and possibly scores towards a silver. He will be in charge of interviewing his rider since he picks his people. Contact me if this sounds like something you’re interested in and I can give you more information. What I care about most of all is finding someone who will enjoy him and give him the attention he deserves.

For our local peeps this is super useful to get our youngsters off and away from home to train

Columbia Riding Club has its monthly “Open Ring Night” tomorrow (Monday 5/4) from 6-8pm. Great opportunity to take horses away from home to school. Two oversized arenas.

Members Only- FREE. Any number of horses.
if you’re not already a member, bring a check for Membership and join to use the arenas that evening. $25/youth, $30/individual, or $50 for a family.

She is a beautiful leggy chestnut sired by Nechristo (Negro) and out of our beloved Ster mare Glamour Girl (Ampere)
This pretty girl is bred for the upper levels of Dressage and is as sweet
as they come

This weather is awful! I salute all barn and farm workers out in these freezing temps to care for livestock 🫡
I will be so grateful when we can get our automatic waterers working again in the barn; cleaning and filling 22 buckets daily and topping off throughout the evening is so much extra work. Our outside waterers have heating element to them plus heat tape of the water line and low watt light bulbs to keep them running and all are checked daily .
We are carrying at least 2 weeks of grain in case we are unable to get a delivery and have more hay arriving Friday. Monitoring closely water intake of the horses and manure output as best we can.
Everything takes longer and simple chores are more challenging.
I am SO incredably grateful for my staff not only for showing up but also wjth a cheerful attitude ❤️
So Remember to thank your barn staff and ask how they are holding up This is most certainly a labor or love.
