Adaptogenic Mushroom Hot Cocoa //

This recipe has been something on repeat in my home over the winter. Raw cacao, chaga, Reishi, maple syrup and collagen with steamed raw milk. All of the good stuff in a warm grounding and nourishing drink, substituted for classic ol hot chocolate. Here’s a pregnancy tea recipe that I’ve been consistently enjoying since about 12 weeks along. Everybody knows that raspberry tea has wonderful benefits but so many herbs can be combined with it to create a nutrient rich tea that supports mom and baby. These herbs are rich in so many vitamins and minerals along with tonifying the uterus in preparation for birth. I make a big batch each night, letting it steep until morning when I strain it, and gently reheat on the stove to sip on throughout the day.

•this combination of herbs are rich in vitamin A, vitamin B1, B2, vitamin C, vitamin D, calcium, iron, and phosphorus

- 1pt stinging nettle
- 1 pt raspberry leaf
- 1/2 pt alfalfa
- 1/2 pt red clover
- 1/2 pt oatstraw
-1/4 pt rosehips
-1/4 pt peppermint and/or lemon balm

Combine herbs in a big jar and use 1 tbsp per 8-12oz of water. Let it steep covered in hot (not boiling) water for at least 10-15 min and sweeten with honey to enjoy.
