It's hard to imagine, but on Saturday at lunch, the Stonegate Dietary Team prepared its 1,000th meal service for the residents this year, and with that, one of our residents was our 100,000th meal this year! So, we decided to have a little celebration and serve a special dessert. Marco prepared a little apple fritter with a warm apple-cinnamon compote with sweet cream, a dehydrated apple chip with a kiwi drizzle! Congratulations to our Dietary Team for this annual milestone!

Thursday, December 18 at 6 PM The Annual Festival of Trees takes centerstage for some very good causes. Stonegate Residents, Departments and Local Businesses and Service Organizations create some truly magical trees which are put up for raffle! There is no cost for this event however attendees are encouraged to purchase raffle tickets and "bid" on their favorite tree or trees. Light appetizers and and libations will be served. Raffle tickets are $1 per ticket or 12 for $10.

We are still looking for a few families or businesses to decorate a tree for a good cause. We provide the tree - you provide the creativity and decorations. If this sounds like something you would be interested in doing contact Tina Bausick at 810-245-9300.

In need of some elves!

Saturday, November 29 at 11 AM Grab your friends and family and join us for the Annual Holiday Tree Decorating Day at Stonegate. Avoid Black Friday and the mayhem and come help us put up 13 Christmas Trees for our residents. We provide the Chili and Cornbread as well as the hot coco and cookies for all who show up! Last week, Stonegate Health Campus hosted the 3rd Annual Purple Party. A wine dinner that raised funds and a glass to support the Alzheimer's Association. Our Culinary Team created a magnificent five-course wine dinner paired with some outstanding wines donated by local restaurants and individuals to make this event spectacular. Our Life Enrichment, Marketing, Housekeeping and Social Work Departments all joined forces to put this evening together. Courses included - Lavender Infused Goat Cheese Crostini, Creamy Purple Potato and Leek Soup, Braised Short Ribs with mashed Parsnips and Red Wine Poached Pears and a Blackberry Tartlet with orange curd.

Full speed ahead toward the Purple Party. This is Stonegate's five-course wine dinner raising a glass and funds for the Alzheimer's Assn. Only a handful of tickets remain for this culinary event. The return of the Quarterly Resident Art Show comes to Stonegate. Each quarter the Life Enrichment Team assembles an assortment of artwork created over the previous quarter and puts it on display for family and friends for the monthly brunch. Here's a sneak peek of what's on display this month!

This past Sunday, Stonegate Health campus was able to provide one of our Assisted Living residents with their very own Live a Dream Family Reunion. We learned, while talking to family, that Mildred H had not been able to attend a family reunion in nearly a decade, so we suggested to the family, "Why don't we have it here at Stonegate?", so that's exactly what we did. With the support of our local tent company, Tents R Up, we provided the tent, table and chairs, along with our local u-pick Kairos Farm, which provided the flowers for the centerpieces. Guests were able to feast on our traditional Sunday brunch and catch up with each other for the afternoon. We were able to create a Live a Dream that this family will not soon forget.

We're gonna love you come rain or come shine! Stonegate's Summer Concert Series featuring Paul Ritchie will continue as scheduled today at 2 p.m. but instead of being outdoors, we are bringing it in to Town Square! This performance is free and open to the public. Refreshments available for purchase

Michigan Native, Paul Ritchie, spent 25 years of his performing career on the QEII and QMII for the Cunard Cruise Line as the Principle Singer on these ships.

This is one concert you will not want to miss!

Just as a reminder, Stonegate Health Campus will be the host for a June Summer Concert Series taking place every Thursday at 2 PM.
This Thursday, June 5 at 2 pm we are pleased to present Steve Figgins and Friends.

This Concert Series is free and open to the public. refreshments will be available for purchase.

No matter what the weather, we have you covered (literally) under the Big Top !

We hope to see you there. Bring a lawn chair if you have one we will have limited seating available.
