Dr. John McCrossen is board certified and a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics/Gynecologists. He has been in private practice in LaPlace for more than 13 years and is pleased to continue caring for the women of the River Parishes. Dr. McCrossen received his medical degree in 2000 from Louisiana State University School of Medicine and completed his residency program in obstetrics/gynecology from Ochsner Foundation Hospital in 2004. During his residency training at Ochsner, Dr. McCrossen developed an interest in high risk pregnancy and minimally invasive GYN surgery, which allows for faster recovery times. Dr. McCrossen is past Chief of Women’s and Children’s Services and was Chief of Staff at River Parishes Hospital in 2011. He is a member of the Greater New Orleans OB/GYN Society and River Parishes Medical Society. He is also a former member of the Pastoral Council at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Dr. McCrossen and his wife, Cindy, reside in LaPlace with their 3 children.
