Hi friends! This summer I’m offering a virtual therapy group for teens in Florida who are navigating social anxiety 🥳

As someone who spent most of my adolescence avoiding the things I actually wanted to do and carrying anxiety like a weighted blanket I never asked for, I know how heavy it can feel. That’s why I created this space.

This 8-week group gives teens a chance to:
✅ Learn where anxiety comes from (and why it makes sense)
✅ Build real coping skills
✅ Challenge unhelpful thoughts
✅ Connect with others who truly get it

And every week, they’ll also practice something many teens with social anxiety avoid: talking openly in a supportive group setting. (Healing disguised as conversation 😎)

If you know a teen who could benefit from this kind of support — or a parent who’s been looking for something like this — I’d be so grateful if you passed this along 💛

📅 Group starts June 9 and meets Mondays from 1–2:20pm
📍Virtual, for teens 13–17 living anywhere in Florida

Functional freeze can look like holding it all together on the outside while silently falling apart on the inside. It’s being the go-to person for everyone else while feeling disconnected from yourself. It’s the calm surface that hides the chaos beneath.

But you don’t have to become someone new to change that—healing is about finally feeling safe enough to come home to yourself.

🪷 I help deep-feeling, high-functioning women in Florida untangle the trauma that’s still showing up in their everyday lives so they can feel grounded, connected, and safe in the lives they’ve worked so hard to build.

✨ If you’re ready to soften without falling apart, I offer free 15-minute consults to explore if therapy is the right next step for you.

You don’t need to be “cleansed” of your past to be whole.

I know that after trauma, it can feel like the only way forward is to forget it ever happened—to rip it out of your body and throw it away. But the truth is, healing doesn’t come from erasing your story.

It comes from learning to carry it differently.

Integration means your trauma stops driving the bus. It becomes part of your story—but not the part making every decision. You begin to respond, not react. You feel safer in your body. You start showing up in your relationships from a place of self-trust, not survival mode.

This is the slow, deep, powerful work of trauma therapy.

And if you’re doing it—it’s okay if it takes time.
That doesn’t mean you’re broken. It means you’re healing.

🪷 At Comma Co., I help people process trauma gently, without having to retell every detail. We work together to integrate your story in a way that honors your past and makes space for your future.

If you’re ready to explore what healing could look like for you, I offer free 15-minute consults. The link is in my bio.

You’re not “too sensitive.”
You’re not “overly independent.”
You’re not “always dramatic.”

Sometimes the traits we’ve labeled as our personality are actually armor we put on to survive.

This post isn’t about pathologizing who you are—it’s about offering compassion for the parts of you that had to adapt in hard situations. Because what looks like a quirk on the outside might’ve been your best shot at safety.

And you’re allowed to outgrow survival mode.
You’re allowed to be more than your coping strategies.
You’re allowed to get curious about who you are underneath it all.

💛 If this resonates, you’re not alone. Therapy at Comma Co. is a space where we untangle these patterns together—with compassion, not shame.

✨ Ready when you are.

📍 In-person in St. Pete & virtual throughout FL

“Can you post about how to not die with despair over the world while also not ignoring it? Asking for myself 😅” - a DM from my friend Emily the other day.

And honestly, I felt that.

If you’re someone who cares deeply, it can feel impossible to carry everything this world throws at us—wars, injustice, climate disasters, systemic harm—and still live your life.

This carousel is for the ones who feel it all.
The ones who care so much it hurts sometimes.
The ones who want to stay awake and present, but also need rest, hope, and connection to keep going.

🫶 You don’t have to choose between feeling it all and shutting down completely. There is a middle ground—and it’s where your compassion gets to be a superpower without burning you out.

✨ I hope this helps you hold both the heartbreak and the hope.

Let me know what resonated or share this with someone who needs to hear it.

You’re not alone. 💛

If you know what a trigger is, let me introduce you to its softer, sweeter opposite—a glimmer. ✨

Coined by Deb Dana, glimmers are those small, quiet moments that help your nervous system feel safe, grounded, and connected. They’re the deep breath before a hard conversation, the sunlight through the trees, the way your dog greets you at the door.

Noticing glimmers won’t erase your triggers but it can help change the way you experience the world. It’s a gentle way to remind yourself that safety does exist, even if your brain isn’t used to seeing it yet.

What’s one glimmer you noticed today? Drop it below or save this post as a reminder to look for the good your body can trust. 💛

“Why can’t I just move on?”

I used to ask myself this all the time. I thought if I ignored my past long enough, it would stop affecting me. But no matter how much I pushed it away, it still showed up—in my relationships, in my self-doubt, in the way my body held onto stress.

The truth is, trauma doesn’t just disappear with time. It lingers in the way we trust, connect, and see ourselves. Healing isn’t about “getting over it.” It’s about processing it in a way that lets you finally feel safe, grounded, and free.

This is why I do the work I do. I help women move through the pain that is still weighing them down so they can stop just surviving and start feeling like themselves again.

If this resonates with you, let’s talk. I offer free 15-minute consultations to see if therapy is the next right step for you.
