Congratulations to Daniella on being named Team Member of the Year for 2025! 🎉

Daniella joined Cypress Palms in 2023 as a housekeeping assistant and quickly became known for her kindness, positivity and willingness to help wherever she is needed. Now a certified nursing assistant in our Pearls of Life® memory care neighborhood, she consistently goes above and beyond, always offering support with a smile.

“Daniella is a true team player. She completes all her duties, helps others and always has a smile,” Nurse Supervisor Cindy said.

Heather approaches each day ready to learn, support and connect. She steps in wherever she is needed and embraces every opportunity to engage with residents and fellow team members.

Heather is a reminder that every superhero has a beginning, and hers is off to a strong start.

As we continue honoring National Activity Professionals Week, we’re spotlighting Alice, a life enrichment assistant for our Pearls of Life® memory care neighborhood!

With 19 years of service next month, Alice has created joy, consistency and connection for residents through years of change and growth.

Alice brings warmth and dedication to every interaction, understanding that routines, familiar faces and shared laughter help build trust and a sense of community. Her presence brings comfort, and her commitment is reflected in the strong relationships she has built over the years.

Alice proves that showing up each day is one of the most meaningful ways to make a difference. She says her superpower is “Love.”

Meet Amalia, a life enrichment coordinator for our Pearls of Life® memory care neighborhood!

Celebrating 16 years this May, Amalia is a steady and compassionate presence in memory care. She meets residents where they are and honors who they have always been.

As life enrichment coordinator, Amalia brings patience, intention and deep understanding to each day. She creates meaningful moments through familiarity, routine and gentle engagement, knowing that even small interactions can foster comfort and joy. Her years as a certified nursing assistant have given her valuable insight and compassion, helping ensure each resident feels seen and supported.

Amalia’s work is a reminder that meaningful moments do not need to be loud or grand. They simply need to be genuine.

“It’s about meeting them where they are and helping them feel safe,” Amalia said.

We are grateful for Amalia’s years of leadership, thoughtful presence and the lasting sense of comfort she brings to our community.

Meet Cindy, one of our life enrichment assistants, as we continue the National Activity Professionals Week celebrations!

For 17 years, Cindy has been a trusted presence—someone residents know they can turn to when they need to talk, share something personal or simply feel safe being heard. They miss her so much when she’s not at our community. Residents have even asked her to record her exercise program to play in her absence!

Her superpower? Creativity. From thoughtful craft ideas to quick improvising when plans change, Cindy brings intention to everything she does. She notices the details—oxygen tubes, blankets when it’s cold, a hug when it’s needed—because comfort is never overlooked.

And when the music starts, Cindy’s joy shines. Watching residents sing along, dance, or tap their feet reminds her (and all of us) of music’s power to connect. She says, “Music has a way of bringing people together.”

Continuing our National Activity Professionals Week celebrations! Meet Johnny, one of our life enrichment assistants.

For 18 years this May, Johnny has been creating moments that matter. Whether he’s sitting one-on-one with a resident or bringing comfort and laughter to residents and their families during life’s best holiday moments, his impact shows up in meaningful ways.

Johnny loves spending time with residents and making them smile. And if you stop by the soda shoppe on a Saturday afternoon, you’ll find over 65 smiling residents… and Johnny right in the middle of it all.

Johnny says: “Sometimes just doing a one-on-one with a resident who can’t leave their apartment makes all the difference.”

This is what beyond the ordinary looks like. This is an everyday superhero. 💙

Last week, we celebrated National Activity Professionals Week! Meet Jessica, our life enrichment director.

Celebrating 10 years of service this month, Jessica balances schedules, last-minute changes and big ideas, all while keeping residents at the center of everything she does.

As life enrichment director, her superpower is coordination with heart. She leads by example, stays steady through the unexpected, and isn’t afraid to jump in wherever she’s needed—showing up alongside her team. A testament to being a true leader.

Jessica finds the most joy when she can step away from administrative duties and simply be present with residents—laughing, connecting and enjoying the moment, especially during virtual reality programs and book club.

Jessica said, “It’s not one moment—it’s the daily smiles and the joy I see on their faces when they’re engaged.”

Our very own Gasparilla celebration sailed straight into Cypress Palms! The Porch Pirates from Paddy O'Furniture brought swashbuckling entertainment as themed refreshments were flowing and smiles were everywhere.

Willie and Tinga even stopped by as our fine-feathered first mates, stealing the show and a few hearts along the way. 🦜✨

It was a day full of pirate fun, parrot pals and true Gasparilla spirit. A celebration worthy of the high seas! 🏴‍☠️💙
