I do local and national public speaking on my adoption story and adoption work to support, inspire and share my perspective as an adoptee and Adoptive mom.

My name is Sabra Starnes. I am an adult adoptee, adoptive mom and adoption expert. I use attachment and relationship techniques and interventions on issues related to the joys, challenges and issues of adoption. I am a registered play therapist, skilled at using directive and non directive techniques and play based interventions. I am a registered play therapist supervisor and a Maryland Board supervisor. I am also a sand tray specialist and use this with children and families. I worked as a teacher and school social worker for 14 years, in working with social, emotional and behavioral issues. My specialty is working with children 2-12 years old and their families. I am available to do public speaking locally and nationally on my adoption journey. I do adopt-adoptee search support and speaking engagements to schools, day care, churches, social service agencies, health and wellness fairs and events.
