🙏
Have you ever been a position where there isn’t anything you can do but pray?
When you serve in disaster relief, you’re wired to respond. When you run to help and you’re brought to a halt, where do you go then?
Over the last 20 years, we have responded to 100+ disasters. God has provided feeding trailers, tool trailers, skid steers, chainsaws, and every tool you can think of….and none of it will bring a life back, or in this case, find a life. You’re faced with the reality that in some cases, equipment, thousands of volunteers, and expertise don’t help.
As we have watched the flooding take over the Texas Hill Country, this is the reality of where we sit. While God has blessed us with resources, unfortunately right now, resources aren’t what this community needs. This community needs us on our knees.
The truth of the gospel is simple: He is enough when we aren’t. He is able when we aren’t. He is God and we aren’t.
So tonight, as we await the news to hear if these precious lives have been found and mourn with those who already know their loved ones are in the arms of Jesus, let us hold fast to our Creator and Sustainer through every storm.
He is good. He is faithful. He is HOPE.
Father, be near to your children. In Jesus’ name.
- Your servants
