Look at this picture and see where the pelvic floor muscles are in relation to your pelvic organs. There is so much more that holds these organs in place that no matter how strong your PF is it will not keep your uterus, bladder up. There is so many components to prolapse that just doing kegel and strengthening or relaxing the pelvic floor muscles is not the solution.

Pelvic fascia is part of the pelvic floor and can cause pain just like in any other part of your body. A disfunction of the fascia in any other area can affect the pelvic fascia, that is why it is called connective tissue. Below is just 2 of the many fascia layers of the pelvis

If you suffer from rectocele one thing is for certain, you are thinking about p**p all the time. For some, like me, just going number 2 is a victory.
For some having a complete movement is the key and
others every two days is the way to go,
but we all hate the feeling when the pouch is acting up and want some action too.
I am still on the fence about using femease for splinting but at times I really wish I had one.
How about you? When it comes to p**ping, what do you call a victory?

We all know the benefits of using a squatty potty, but not sure if anyone with rectocele feel like the re**um pouch falls in the re**um making it harder to have a bowel movement. I need answers from a colorectal specialist to see if this can actually happen. My 🐕 wanted to be in the picture too.

Pelvic pain can be caused by so many issues within our pelvis. When you have pelvic organ prolapse it is easy to assume that it, is causing you pain. If we look at our pelvis we see bones, muscles, fascia and ligaments and lots of nerves and any one of these can cause pain. Cause of pain can range from inflammation to a misalignment, to tears, tight muscles, nerve damage etc. The only way to really know what is causing your pain, no it's not google 🤔, it's to find a physician that is specialized in pelvic health.

I love this image. It illustrates the role that fascia plays in pelvic organ prolapse. Fascia as a thin layer of tissue that surrounds our whole body. Fascia also can be manipulated, moved, bundled up, stretched and even hardened to the point that it will constrict movement. Although this image is great and show just the role fascia plays in holding your organs in place it does not show all the fascia in your pelvis. It is my opinion that when addressing pelvic organ prolapse we see all the layers that is holding our organs and not only the pelvic muscles.

This is a PSA
Have you ever thought or even seen a post or even a comment stating, "If man had..", well man don't have va**nas and they won't, or it will take a lot of trial and error, to fix a women's issue. As women with pelvic issues we need to stand up and speak up. We need to be ready to talk about our issues and demand better care. If a doctor doesn't listen then go to another and another until you find one that listen. Even women that's doesn't have or don't know they have pelvic prolapse will not believe or even listen to your problems related to your lady bits. I heard a comment that a doctor said: "this is not dinner table conversation", well we have to bring it up. Dinner, thanksgivings, Christmas and any other gathering we find ourselves surrounded by women. Those of us diagnosed wished we had been warned and informed about prolapse and pelvic health but we are unwilling to speak up. It's time to come together we are 60% of the women population. We are a tribe.

To the ladies afraid that they are now to large, please look at this image and ask yourself: is there any room on your anatomy to have a loose va**na?

Prolapse is normal and common. Just like some women will get stretch mark and others won't. Some get prolapse and others don't. It depend on your body type. I think by saying it is common but not normal, make women think somehow it is their fault or something is wrong with them. Something that has been documented back to Egyptian time and more than 60% of women have it, is not common, is the norm

09/28/2020

We need to talk about POP. We are not alone, the stats are that 60% of women have some form of pop but we don't talk about it, we are ashamed and think it is embarrassing as somehow we broke ourselves. The more we talk, to others, to doctors the more we demand better education and better care

09/28/2020

We are not alone. 60% of the world's women have some form of prolapse. The more we speak up the greater the awareness
