Try this: Sit in a comfortable chair, feet flat, close your eyes and lay one hand on your chest and the other hand on your belly. Try writing for 10 minutes.

Write down anything and everything that goes through your mind. It does not have to make sense. No one else will read it except you. When you’re done, pay attention to how you feel.

The holidays seem to heighten emotion. Relationships can be strengthened or they can be weakened during the holidays. This month I’ll give you some tips for building meaningful relationships.

Zoom out and try and see our family members from a different perspective. So often we focus on the here and now instead of recognizing things aren’t usually what they appear to be. Try to give people the benefit of the doubt. Not only is this kind but you’ll usually feel better.
