Back and Posing kind of Day. Today I lift 275lbs again for 2 reps. Not bad after being sick over the holidays and just getting back to it 100%
Current Physique Shape, feeling stronger, healthier, with much more energy and sitting at 10lbs over my stage weight.
I can tell my body is loving this improvement phase, my hormones are back to normal, I am eating 1800 calories daily with a couple of cheat meals a week, lifting as heavy as i can while keeping my form in check and doing only 15 to 20 minutes of low intensity cardio.
This makes me happy because I know when it's go time it will be ready to be under the stresses contest prep entail again.

On Wednesday we do BACK and practice posing.
Current Physique looking 👌, feeling stronger again after being sick over the holidays. Sitting 10lbs over my stage weight, eating 1800 calories, lifting heavg, working on getting my strength back up and doing minimal cardio.
I won't lie it is challenging mentally to accept I'm not stage lean but I love to feel healthy, stronger and with a lot of energy and I know my body likes to be in this shape hormonal wise also, so I will give my body what it needs for this next 13 to 15 weeks before I put it back on prep.
Then I'll know it will be ready to respond properly to being under stress once again.

Glute and Hamstring Workout Complete.
First week of workouts of the year in the books and ready to get fully into improvement phase for the next 13 weeks.
I am currently standing at 119lbs wich is 10lbs over my stage weight and I carry it mostly in my upperbody and core area but.. it is, what it is

And I certainly am a determined individual and I will work as hard as I need to accomplish the goal I have for my fitness journey in 2022.
I started this journey at 33 not knowing it would become this important to me. My goal is to become a PRO athlete before 40 and be as competitive as I can be in that level.

Consistency, Discipline, Hard Work and Ignoring those who don't believe in you will elevate your motivation through the sky.
You owe nothing to noone else but yourself.
The journey is yours and you know what path you've walked and how hard you must endure the difficulties you've faced. But we got this.

Lately I've been asking myself:
"What would you want to know before deciding to prep for a show for the VERY FIRST time?"
My answer is:

1. How hard adjusting after competiting is. It is emotionally hard seeing your body go back to normal % of BF and going into improvement season.
I've struggled everytime after competiting for the following 4 to 6 weeks as i gain weight and then it hits me; I remember that it is part of the process and it is ABSOLUTELY needed so I can bring a better physique the next time i decide to compete. Unfortunately my weight goes always to my upperbody and core which is hard to whiteness and makes me self-conscious given that I really get shredded in my upperbody and I really love my abs, but 🤷🏽‍♀️.
2. That it is super hard to reverse properly and that I will get mad when I can't eat what I'd like even being off season but that self-restraint is key and it will make me stronger mentally and prepared me for next time i go on prep.
3. That i can't go into a show spree just to keep seeing myself shredded, and that not taking a long enough off/improvement season to give my body a break, rebuild my relationship with food, build quality muscle is not good at all.
4. BUT AT THE END: Most of all I wish I knew how much this process would make me learn to love myself for who I am and not how I look.

Thankful for every single person that has been apart of my life for the past year.
Thankful for my family, friends and of course my health that I've been able to maintain even on these crazy times. 🙏
Grateful and Thankful for my sexy and amazing husband that supports my dreams and loves me unconditionally. The love of my life and whom I want to share every moment with.
Thankful for my stepdaughters, it is been so amazing to get to see the amazing young women they are becoming ❤️.
Grateful for my sweet doggy 🐕 that just cuddles with me and loves being around me everywhere I go.
Also thankful for my new job and the amazing people I've gotten to meet in the almost year I've been with the most awesome company ever.
