What is the minimum amount of exercise by adults for a long-term healthy lifestyle? 150 minutes of moderate exercise a week. If 150 minutes seems difficult to achieve, try breaking it up into smaller increments like 10 minute walks after meals 2 or 3 times a day. Just remember moderate exercise should slightly increase your heart rate and make you a light breathy.
