SOAR ABA and Developmental Therapies is seeking Registered Behavioral Techs to join our team of caring professionals, to provide Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) services for children with autism, under the guidance of a behavioral supervisor (BCBA). We provide ABA therapy and offer flexible, part-time schedules, oftentimes near your home. Additionally, professional development and ongoing supervision in the emerging field of ABA is available, amounting to a rewarding experience helping children and families reach their full potential. In this role you will provide clinic, in-home, and/or community-based ABA therapy and collect behavior and skill acquisition data during the sessions.
SOAR ABA use various methodologies of ABA to target an increase of socially significant behaviors within the individual. Our highly qualified BCBA/LBAs (Board Certified Behavior Analyst/Licensed Behavior Analysts) possess years of experience and training and utilize their extensive skills to improve social behavioral and adaptive skills with individually tailored programs of therapy.
RBT applicants must be 18 years of age, possess a minimum of a high school diploma or national equivalent, complete a criminal background check, and HOLD A CURRENT NEVADA STATE LICENSE AND CURRENT RBT CREDENTIAL OR BE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE FULL RBT LICENSING PROCESS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Instruct client/patient individually and/or in groups, adapting teaching methods to meet clients varying needs and interests using and implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques and methods that have been developed by the BCBA, BCaBA and consultants.
Follows plans and prepares materials for sessions with clients in the clinic, home and in the community.
Follows clear objectives for all programs and projects and communicates those objectives to families and clients.
Makes sure to run programs routinely cycling through them regularly as written in the child's treatment plan.
Meets the family where the treatment is needed, home, community and school, having reliable transportation to and from each location.
Establishes and enforces rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining the prescribed treatment/target.
Meets with parents or guardians to discuss student progress and priorities for the student and their needs according to the treatment plan.
Prepares students for advancement by encouraging them to explore learning opportunities and to persevere with challenging tasks by probing skills when requested by the BCBA, BCaBA and Consultants and discussing this with BCBA/consultant at workshops and or meetings.
Assesses needs of clients and modifies antecedents and consequences or teaching methods to meet those needs according to the behavior procedures/treatment in place for that client.
Participates in professional training and/or coursework as needed and required per governing board, state law and company policy.
Conduct oneself as a professional in these roles respecting and following BACB Code of Ethics, HIPAA/Confidential regulations at all times.
Reliable transportation required
MUST HAVE:
High School Diploma; Associates or Bachelorβs degree Preferred
Current CPR/First Aid Certification
Current TB Test
Able to work between the hours of 7:00 AM and 7:30 PM
Current State Issued Drivers Licenses'
