I’m so thankful that I’ve now learned this as an adult. Wish I had when I was a child…Can’t beat myself up for that though. I’m just so very thankful that I learned it before it was too late to do anything about it 🤗

Why in the world did I start the health journey that has brought me to where I am? And helping other do the same as a health coach? 27 years ago I was diagnosed as a diabetic and I have struggled with the challenges that diagnosis brings to so many. I have battled with my weight since my teenage years and the onset of diabetes made it even more challenging, but the real “wake up call” came in the fall of 2018 when my doctor told me that he was doing all he could do with medications, which was not helping and my future was going to depend on me making a lifestyle adjustment. The adjust came in the form of the health journey that turned things around for me. With the assistance of my health coach, I began my journey in January of 2019 and over the course of that journey, I released 130 pounds and my overall health has improved significantly 🎉 My journey continues with renewed energy, enthusiasm and optimism about my health and quality of life for the years ahead. I keep reminding myself that this is all about a journey through life and not a specific destination…the journey continues!☺️🥳
