Lord Ganesha is believed to be the sovereign of knowledge, with the whole universal intelligence inherent within him. He embodies pure consciousness that is infused within all elements, personifying phenomenal qualities and encapsulated in a majestic form.

If you pay close attention to Ganesha’s tales scripted in Hindu scriptures, he is a patron of education, intelligence, learning, art, scribes and wisdom. Thus, he can be a remarkable guru to our children because his tales no doubt possess a great power to impart extraordinary life lessons.

Let us first tell your child what each part of elephant headed Ganesha symbolises, so that children can relate to the deity.

· Big head: Think big.
· Large ears: Listen more.
· Small eyes: Concentrate.
· Small mouth: Talk less.
· One tusk: Retain good and discard the bad.
· Trunk: High efficiency and strong adaptability.

You can narrate the famous story of Ganesha, which goes that when Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati challenged their sons Ganesha and Kartikeya to race around the world three times. The winner would be rewarded with a miracle fruit, which would grant them supreme knowledge and immortality. Kartikeya, eager to win, started off at once, Ganesha knew he wouldn’t be able to compete with Kartikeya's agility due to his stout body and much slower vehicle – Mushakraj” (The Rat) – compared to the peacock his brother was riding. Ganesha put on his thinking cap, looked at his parents and thought: “For me, my parents are my world.” Thus, Ganesha circumnavigated around Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Needless to say, Kartikeya lost the race, beaten wisely!

While this story teaches children to respect their parents and elders, it also encourages them to be creative and think out of the box during a difficult task. It also proves that a physical weakness should not be an obstacle in life and one can always rely on wisdom and intelligence to win against any trying circumstances. ✨🕉🍃🌼🌈👁🌷🏔🍂🔱💟💀🍃🌙📿⌛️🌺🍂🐍🐚🔆🍃🌀🔔🌈🍂🌸🌻🏔✨

Goddess Shakti is really a divine cosmic energy that represents feminine energy and the dynamic forces that move through the universe. Shakti, who is responsible for creation and can also be an agent of change, is often manifested to destroy demonic forces and restore balance.

As a vital cosmic force, Shakti takes many forms and names, including mother goddess, fierce warrior, and the dark goddess of destruction. In Hinduism, every god has a Shakti, or energy force. It’s one of the reasons she is worshipped by millions of people throughout India.

Shakti is also known as Parvati, Durga, and Kali, She’s an archetype who you might call upon for strength, fertility, and power. You might identify with her as a powerful female figure or you might look to her as you try to repair or sustain your marriage.

As Parvati, she is the wife and energy behind the god of destruction and rejuvenation Shiva. Parvati symbolizes fertility, marital happiness, devotion, power, and asceticism. She is honored as the mother goddess, a universal source of energy, power, and creativity.

Shakti is a Mahadevi, or Great goddess—which is essentially a sum of all other goddesses. In the guise of Durga, Shakti is a fierce warrior who kills the demon Mahisasura as well many other evil creatures.

Kali is another form of Shakti, whose name is commonly translated as “the black one,” is the dark goddess of destruction. In Hindu tradition, she symbolizes the destructive and temporary nature of life. However, her devoted adherents also believe that she protects them both on Earth and in the afterlife.

Remember that Shakti is a universal energy force. And as such, she can be called upon for numerous purposes, such as:

To fight your own personal demons or when seeking protection, call upon Durga.
For fertility or if you identify with the mother goddess archetype, turn to Parvati.
To destroy evil and restore balance, look to Kali.!! 🌸🌈🌿🔱🌷🌺🕉👁🌻🦚🐚🔔🐍🍂🌻💀🔆🌀🌷🌙🍃🌺📿🌈🌼⌛️🦚🕉🌸

Lord Shiva, father of Ganesha and Kartikeya, is the centre of the universe. He is the God of the yogis and is considered one the three highest aspects of Brahman and identified with the universal function of destruction. The Puranas have recorded the fact that Brahma is the creator, Shri Vishnu is the preserver and Lord Shiva is the destroyer. Once he destroys everything, Brahma creates again. In the negative aspect of change, Shiva brings about death and destruction while in the positive aspect; he destroys the ego and false identification.

Shiva is often shown draped in tiger skin and is depicted in many moods. He is often depicted as yogi or an ascetic , householder ; consort of Parvati (Umapati) and father of Ganesha and Skanda ( Kartikeya). Ganesha and Kartikeya are his divine sons, who also occupy an important place in the Hindu pantheon. Shiva loves his family and children as much as he loves his devotees. He also has an extended family of gods and ganas, who are very fond of him and who love to spend their time in his company. Which means one can learn from Shiva about family values, and the importance of loving and caring relationships.

Ganesha is usually mentioned first when it comes to Shivas sons, although there are versions which say Kartikeya is the eldest. In Shiva Purana and Brahma Vaivarta Purana, Kartikeya is seen as the elder son of Shiva, and Ganesha the younger.

Though, there are many famous tales associated with the birth of Ganesha, the most popular is that in which his mother Parvati prepares a statue from clay and blesses it with life. The chubby, gentle, wise, elephant-headed Ganesh, is the remover of obstacles. Ganesha's name literally means the lord of Gana. He was entrusted by Shiva with the leadership of the Ganas, Shiva's dwarfish, rowdy retinue, in compensation for the loss of his human head. And declared that he will be worshipped first in the beginning of all religious activities for successful outcomes.

Lord Kartikeya is a much revered deity especially in South India. Kartikeya is quintessentially brave, intelligent, and perfection personified because of which he is worshipped as the god of war and victory. He is also the brave leader and was created to destroy demons, symbolising negative tendencies of human beings. Legend says that because Shiva and Parvati would shower Ganesha with more love, Kartikeya decided to leave Kailasa and move to the mountains in South and did not change his mind in spite of being urged by Shiva himself. And this is how he began to be worshipped in South India more than in North. ✨🐍🌸💀🔱⏳👁🌀🐘🕉🌙🌷🌈⚔🙏🏻✨
