Anxiety doesn’t just happen—it’s a cycle influenced by how we interpret situations, how we feel, and how we act. This is best explained through the Cognitive Triangle, which highlights the connection between:
🔺 Situation: The event or trigger that starts it all.
🔺 Thoughts: How we interpret the situation (often in a fear-based way).
🔺 Feelings: The emotions that arise, like fear or worry.
🔺 Behavior: How we respond, such as avoiding or overreacting.
🔺 Experience: The impact on our body and mind, reinforcing the cycle.
Understanding this cycle is key to breaking free from anxiety. By challenging negative thoughts and changing how we respond, we can create new, healthier patterns.
