The Western Regional Center for Brain & Spine Surgery, based in Las Vegas, has treated thousands of patients since its establishment in 1984, and currently is one of the busiest neurosurgery practices in Nevada. The surgeons at Western Regional have trained at such world-renowned academic medical centers as The Mayo Clinic, Harvard, Duke University, Dartmouth, the University of Illinois, Baylor, Georgetown, UCLA, and Atkinson Morely’s and Maiden Vale in England. Dr. Stuart Kaplan is the only ABNS board-certified pediatric neurosurgeon in Nevada. This subspecialty was added to the practice in 2004 to meet the growing demand for advanced pediatric neurosurgical care in the tri-state area. Since its inception, Western Regional physicians have been the leaders in clinical neurosurgery in Southern Nevada, currently holding top medical staff positions at several Las Vegas hospitals. Our physicians pioneered the latest in surgery navigational technology, deep brain stimulation, precision instrumentation, use of high-power surgical microscopes, Gamma Knife radiosurgery, dorsal column stimulation, and artificial disc replacement in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada.
